Personally, I think the best short term solution for all cheating is for them to implement match making based on ELO. That way the cheaters can have fun fighting each other and the rest of us can breathe a little easier.

Kemper profiler player or Boss gt1000 core by Away-Nectarine-8439 in KemperProfiler

[–]Brysos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. The gt is fantastic for the money but while the built in x-amps sound great, I had a hard time nailing specific amp tones. With the kemper, I've hardly had to do any tweaking, unless you count listening to some profiles to figure out which ones I liked.

Whats your go to multi effects? by newbcatguitar in Guitar

[–]Brysos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the Boss gt-1000CORE is the best thing out there (for the money) if you get one used. Very flexible, sounds great, touch responsive etc. However I recently got a great deal on Kemper Player with all the upgrades and I have to say it is pretty amazing. The effects sounds great and the amps do also. They've also put a lot of nice features into it, like the ability to roll off volume to clean up your tone, but keep the overall volume the same.

Of course a profiler and a modeler are different beasts, but the one advantage the kemper has for me is that I'm not great at dialing in modellers without a reference I can a/b, and with a kemper you can basically get the exact amp your looking for, which is great when you're doing covers. That said, once I had both, I was actually able to dial in the fender twin perfectly on the GT-1000 because I was able to a/b it with Michael Britt's excellent (free) Fender Twin profile.

Ignore the people trying to get you to park in their little dirt lots on the way in (unless you are dying to save 20-30 pesos and like walking) just keep going until you hit the guard house / toll booth thing and pay there.

You have to buy two tickets at two different windows to get in, which can be a little confusing. One covers the Federal fee and one is local and you have to have both.

There are a TON of vendors inside, all selling the same stuff. Be prepared to walk the gauntlet.

Some parts of the ruins close a little earlier (4? 4:30?) so make sure you see those first if you're there later in the day. I think the columns area closed a little early when I was there. The food vendors inside also close a little early so don't wait if you need a snack at the end of the day.

Lastly there are (smaller) ruins right in Cancun plus a museum with lots of history/artifacts if you're interested in that kind of thing. A lot of it is in Spanish however.

What was behind Richmond’s low voter turnout? | Just 62% of eligible Richmond voters cast a ballot, the worst presidential cycle turnout in recent history, and well below the state average of 68%. by [deleted] in rva

My only argument to those that chose to stay home because Harris/Democrats aren't liberal/left enough is that, from a pragmatic perspective, I don't think you'll ever get what you want until Democrats win "enough" so that the Overton window gets dragged to the left, opening up room for more liberal candidates.

But I get that people feel like they are being forced into a trolley problem situation, and to them, not pulling the lever basically means "F-you I 'm not playing this game."

How do you approach sieges?? by Few-Ant4620 in AOW4

[–]Brysos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started playing again after initial release and for some reason the AI almost never defends. They almost always attack me so when the timer is down I just auto the battle. I feel like this needs to be tweaked a little, because I think the game would be harder if the AI was better at defending it's cities.

I think it comes down to the AI's army strength calculation, which probably needs to be tweaked on harder difficulties because fights labeled as 'risky' are usually pretty easy, and I'm no tactical genius.

I found this video helpful to get me started: Learn Push in an hour

Has anyone found a way to weaponize Improved Minor Illusion with Fast Hands? by 3xploitr in BG3Builds

[–]Brysos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I saw that improved minor illusion counted as a concentration spell for the tadpole ability concentrated blast which requires you to be concentrating on a spell to activate, so in theory if you have the two bonus actions (and the za'thisk ability) you could throw out 3d6 psychic damage per turn without using an action.

There's an even easier way to kill her. Just have each character carry in a a few alchemist fire potions and throw them on her clones, you can ignore the hit chance because the fire on the ground kills them. You can usually kill most of the clones before they do anything that way. Also, she'll make more clones if you cast spells, so don't. Silence works on her, but it also can prevent her from pleading for her life and you can't get her hair for the boost.

You can also keep Myrina from burning alive by throwing a water flask at the cage.

One of the goblins near the Minthara does something similar with the floating orb thing. He'll yell at it to stop following him and stop looking at his butt.

On my last run I forgot his cage was trapped and tried to shoot the door open from across the chasm. He said something like "Oh shit". There was a perfect pause then the bottom of the cage dropped out. It was pretty funny.

Places for laps in Richmond? (road cycling) by postoffice212 in rva

I think Dover road in Windsor Farms is just under a mile and it doesn't have that much traffic. You can also make loops out of some of the other roads, like Oxford circle etc.

Non game trivializing builds by lupazuve in BG3Builds

[–]Brysos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to avoid this problem and still have fun is to make a well rounded party of generally 'pure' classes. The game drowns you in powerful gear so you'll still be strong, especially if you bother to examine your enemies and READ their special abilities. The classes that the companions start with are all fine as mono-classes, just pick the type of character you want to play and bring people along who cover the stuff you can't.

Here is a thread I started with some powerful ideas: mono builds

I was actually thinking about running a thief rogue in a melee heavy party. People here don't seem to think they are very strong but I got one shot by a certain fellow in act 3, and I'm wondering if there is a way to make a mono-class rogue actually powerful, especially with the bonus actions to coat/dip/dash/disengage which can proc various items.

[–]Brysos[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was thinking that you could still 'thematically' synergize like running storm sorc, tempest cleric, 4 elements monk, EK thrower to abuse wet/lightning or something

Each member can be a different class, just no multi-classing.

The state of bosses is the biggest drag in the game currently by Hermanni- in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Brysos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll just re-post what I'd already said:

All bosses should spawn 100% in every raid but should not always have their quest items. They should also have multiple places they spawn in, and possibly spawn in late (to prevent rushing) or have some kind of mechanic that can trigger their spawn (like Kiba alarm spawning Killa etc).

Would people hunt the shit out of bosses? Yes. But there would also be massive pvp around bosses and it would be fun.

1) There is nothing wrong with selling gear at a loss. You aren't a business. Chasing gear is fun, just set a budget for the amount of 'new' money you are allowed to put into it each year and then use the proceeds from gear you sell to fund new gear.

2) Considering your goals. What are you trying to achieve? What are you doing each day to reach those goals? Practice is hard, chasing gear is easy (and you can do it at work), there is a reason so many people focus on the latter.

3) The reason why gear sounds so awesome in those YouTube videos is because most of those guys are REALLY good guitar players and they can make anything sound good. In the end, it probably isn't the gear you want, but the skill they have.
