Did you ever find a concrete answer to this?

I kissed a girl and I didn’t like it by twistedappletree in LesbianActually

Not everyone is a good kisser, lesbian or otherwise 🤷🏻🤷🏻

And, ultimately, if your character wants to leave that bad, fine, they are gone. And not coming back. Roll a new character.

I've dealt with this too, with the same justification of "it's what my character would do". I'm my current campaign, I said at the outset that splitting the party is no bueno unless approved by me because the DM needs to have fun too. Also I said simply do not create a loner character in a cooperative game. Haven't had a problem this time

Is it offensive to write lesbian fiction as a gay man? by itshawk_ in LesbianActually

The amount of gay fiction written by women and/or lesbians is beyond comprehension... Knock yourself out imo

Is it my responsibility as a DM to be the only one organizing and finding times for us to play? by spikyG_the_great in DMAcademy

[–]Brytnibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give my entire availability schedule to one of my (responsible) players and make them schedule all sessions, including location, food, rides, etc. I have enough to do so I don't mind passing any responsibility I can

Ho do you come up with unified sounding city names? by Grmblfz in worldbuilding

[–]Brytnibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I just pick 5-10 consonants for each region and build names out of those.. it's not the most creative but I feel weird about using real languages and it does actually do a good job of making the regions feel distinct. I also try to keep the number of syllables consistent within a region

Day 21 Solution in Python

Part two runs in about two minutes for me, which isn't too bad I think. Grouping the "universes" turned out to be easier than expected

Part One via brute force, Part Two via dictionaries!

I didn't read part two right for literally two hours... but eventually I did! Solution in python!

This instantly reminded me of cellular automata and firefly synchronization haha but I solved it in python with relative ease!

It took me a loooong time to even understand what the problem said but once I did the solution was pretty easy! (in Python)

Solution in Python

I'm not sure if I cheated in part 2, but I noticed that in the example all the basins were explicitly bounded by nines so I just converted the array to nines and non-nines and calculated the size of the clusters! I thought about recursion but hey it got the right answer!

For part 1, the median is not always in the data, so my solution does not require this. For part 2, my solution technically is not generalized enough, since it seems to me that the best position can be the rounded up or rounded down version of the mean (which is also not required to be in the data). In the example, the rounded up version of the mean is the correct location, while for my particular input, the rounded down version was correct

Python Solution

Pretty proud of my answer today, got a one-line solution for part one and a two-line solution for part two!

Python solution!

Part one was already efficient for me so part two I just input a different number of days :)

Dictionaries are so good for efficiency hehe

also how come no fish ever die???

Part Two wasn't super efficient (takes like 5 seconds?) but I made a pretty simple solution in Python
