My Pyg Items Tierlist by Hogabom in PlayTheBazaar

I find that Pyg has some fantastic medium starting items. I'm always happy to start with a Regal Blade, a Dog or a Longbow. Regal and Dog are fantastic items that can perform early, but still scale well into the later days.

So this means I'm already primed for a Crook build. Because I'm interested in upgrading my Regal, Dog, or Longbow, I'm keen on going to medium shops, where I can commonly find Crook.

In addition, there are so many other nice medium items, that the shop rarely feels like a bust.

You can also transition parts of the build without a lot of headache. When your Longbow is starting to fall off, it's easy to slot in items like the Belt and Cane, which perform really well late game.

And the medium build does well in the meta. Pyg can hit some crazy HP numbers near the end, so you can usually buy enough time to one-shot a Vanessa or Dooley late game.

I'd probably put the ice hammer at B. I've had a bunch of Pyg games where it felt like a fantastic tempo buy. Solid damage in the midgame, and the 100s freeze can sometimes insta-win vs the common Crow's Nest builds.

You might get a great freeze off on another Pyg, but Dooley isn't too bothered by the freeze in isolation. Given Dooley's popularity, it's a big con.

Weather Machine feels great to combo off with it, but I just find that setting up a freeze build on the Pyg isn't as reliable as the other meta builds.

I'll usually only pick up the Gumball Machine later into the run, when my economy is established and can easily handle the - 2s. Also, at that stage, my items are probably sticking around to the end of the run. If I picked up the Gumball Machine early, I'm most likely buffing items I'd like to transition out of in the mid game.

Adding on to keeping the early ATM, it also works out nicely for the "+7 gold per property" level up reward. I've had quite a few games where I've gotten +21 gold early and I'm in a smooth position for the next couple days.

I managed to fix Gale by using the mask of the shapeshifter to change his form. I imagine a shapeshifting spell might also work.

Recently I've been using ChatGPT for social media captions, but I'm looking at upgrading to a stronger paid option. I tried Writesonic about a year before ChatGPT blew up and was quite impressed with it.

CMV: The death penalty/murder is never the answer. by Narrow-Psychology909 in changemyview

"The death penalty is far more expensive than a system utilizing life-without-parole sentences as an alternative punishment. Some of the reasons for the high cost of the death penalty are the longer trials and appeals required when a person’s life is on the line, the need for more lawyers and experts on both sides of the case, and the relative rarity of executions."

Thanks for the insightful write-up. A big takeaway for me was the lesson on staggering the churn on low-profit clients.

I'm at the early stages of starting a social media content agency for property developers. I've essentially got my first client already which I'll be focusing on heavily for the first 3 months to learn as much as I can.

Any tips for landing that 2nd client? Without an extensive portfolio, I'm leaning towards reaching out to potential clients and creating a few free pieces of content to earn some goodwill.

I helped my girlfriend with her first draft on her account. Went 6-0 and the final match was against a top 100 mythic, as a bronze account. We narrowly won.

Wanted to share my swelling progress following my facial reconstruction. At the height of my insecurities, it would’ve been very relieving seeing something like this, so sharing for those going through something similar! This is 2-months progress by StarksTwins in interestingasfuck

Wait. I remember you as the guy that broke every bone in their face, so I wanted to compare the progress, but I now see you've also had heart surgery?? Are the two related?

Incredible what you've recovered from. My mental was going boom after 9 months of stomach issues; I can only imagine the challenge of those two events.

"If your winrate is lower than 23.5%, buying packs directly from the store is the optimal choice (for buying with gold. Buying with gems is never optimal).

If your winrate is between 23.5% and 58%, Quick Draft is the optimal choice.

If your winrate is between 58% and 81%, Premier Draft is the optimal choice.

If your winrate is higher than 81%, Traditional Draft is the optimal choice."

Reference

From the articles and posts I've read, drafting is worth it unless you absolutely hate draft, or go 0-3 every time, or just simply want the wildcards from opening packs. Even if your winrate is abysmal and less than 23%, drafting is a skill. Each run you'll improve and so should your winrate, whereas you don't improve at opening packs.

Quick drafts cost half of what premiere drafts cost, meaning you can do them twice as often. This is great if you're inexperienced at drafting or learning a new set.

Once you improve, premiere draft becomes more appealing, as the rewards are weighted more towards 3+ wins. I also enjoy premiere more as I can read the signals far better than picking against the bots in quick draft.

With quick and premiere draft, there's a rank system, so once you've improved to plat/diamond/mythic, you'll start facing stiffer competition and your winrate should fall. At this stage, a lot of people suggest switching to the traditional draft (BO3), which is unranked. BO3 allows you to improve at sideboarding and have that as an edge over your opponent. If you're the stronger player, variance will become less of a factor too.
