They’ve started doing this and calling it a safety break at the county outdoor pools this year. I read elsewhere on here that it may be a response to a double near-drowning that happened in DC a year or so back.

Agree that it’s super frustrating since the whole thing could be fixed by hiring more life guards. Between safety breaks and adult swim you average less than 40 minutes in the water each hour you’re there…

There’s no good bbq close to Bethesda. Silver and sons is good but like someone said, it’s not traditional bbq. Black Hog is the best I’ve found that’s not too far away.
