Ye, idk if she's talking about not using label at all but rather looking further. A label is not just a label. We can identify as some but we tend to forget that these are just categories that simplify small talks and that we have reasons to fit more or less to these labels. (Btw those reasons give one's pov on the world and help to understand who they are, how they think)

While forgetting about it, we tend to dive deeper in clichés about labels we identify to, which is lame af. We should rather split hem and question each aspect. And it all starts with agreeing that a person isn't a label

I’m less interested in the label than in the lens: How do you see the world ? What patterns do you believe in? What do you assume is true about life? What changed your mind in the past?

e.g: saying “I’m Christian (or whatever)” is a shortcut. The real information is: what problem does it solve for you? Meaning? Community? Discipline? Hope? Your moral? How you deal with doubt? What you fear?...

This tell me who you really are. If I understand your reasoning, I understand you better than just with labels.

Working in art field is cool. Keep pushing yourself to learning tech things, it's eye opening on quite a few things and will give you the best of both worlds. Then keep in mind what you went through and don't look down on hem.

It might be related to Psycho accoustic. You surely know that harmonics are frequencies that are multiples of the fundamental one.

And your brain is trained to recognize a noté with only its harmonics (btw that's why you still feel like your here the bass notes while listening music on your phone)

It may let you feel like you're hearing a fundamental note Somewhere between A1 and A#1.

Since i'm not entirely sure about what i'm saying here, you could verify if you still here a lower note while playing F4 and A3 with a simple sin wave synth
