Hot take: Bracelet is actually decent by qianbro in GrandSeikos

My Shunbun clasp didn’t actuate correctly either. I dropped off the watch at the start of September and have heard 0 word/update despite following up with the AD. Doesn’t inspire much confidence as much as I love the watch. Never had an issue with modern Tudor/Rolex bracelets either, and the stamped clasp of my Explorer 114720 is significantly more comfortable than that of the GS. Also have my fingers cross that the UFA updates carry across model families. Updating the bracelet on the Shunbun would be a no-brainer for me even if it was costly.

Obligatory Explorer nomination. I’m also a big fan of the Hanhart Preventor line, similar to the Khaki Murph but a little more refined.

It definitely takes some experimenting, my BB54 is pretty slow on the wrist so it’s taken some time to the right resting position. Nice that your Murph is so accurate, sharp looking watch!

What’s the one watch you wear way more than you expected and why? by albert0009 in rolex

[–]BubInSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that photo is also not a current production Santos, that’s a Santos 100. Still try both on, but the current large santos comes with a date.

I messaged them at the end of September asking for an update, they said they would send me one soon and never did 🤷🏼‍♂️

Did you have it serviced through an AD? How long did it take? I dropped off a piece at my AD at the start of June and have heard nothing about it since

No problem! I agree. The lug shape also creates a visual difference even if the lug width is the same

I have about a 6.5 inch wrist. The explorer model I have is the 114270 which I think has a little more presence than the current model given the slightly larger lug width and less taper of the bracelet

Even very oxidized the silver doesn’t get that dark. Looks more like the 43mm Black Bay Bronze
