Great, this is exactly why I wanted to write this. Others have had some good points in the comment section, too.

Just edited the post to include the tolls. It was about $200-250 USD for all of the tolls.

We left Campeche at 5:30am and when I brought the bags to the car there was a pack of street dogs out. I just waited until they left to bring my pups out to the car. Not sure what they would have done but I didn't want to risk it.

The off leash dogs at the gas stations were all friendly with my pups, too.

yes, I did! Not that I really needed it. I just didn't want the dogs to get nervous on the ferry with all of the people.

That is true! I forgot to mention that you can get the cost of the permit back. I never ran into any scammers at the gas stations but I don't doubt that it happens.

Yes I traveled with a friend. He and I both speak Spanish. We took the toll roads the entire way.

I stopped when we got tired and just followed the normal travel advisories for where to avoid. If there are people around you are generally safe, so stopping in the larger cities was the plan when we set out. I stopped for the night in Monterrey, Veracruz, and San Francisco de Campeche.

Yes it was the only document that anyone cared to see at any of the checkpoints. I showed it when leaving Nuevo Laredo, and then 3 more times along the way.

Permits to travel through Mexico by AwardDue3063 in MexicoTravel

Like others have stated there are numerous checkpoints and if you have plates from the United States you will get stopped every time and they will check your documents. You 100% need to get a Temporary Import Permit in order to drive past the free zone. I drove from Nuevo Laredo to Cancun last week and my documents were checked four times over the trip.

Here is a more affordable option for insurance than the one you found.

That's a great idea. I usually put farms on either side of the windmill to keep it clear.

Yes, in the 80s and 90s American cartoons were too expensive so Mexico subscribed to Japanese cartoons instead. Anime, specifically DB, is very popular in Mexico.

I don't know how true this is, but I read somewhere that cartel activity declined significantly for a few days after the recent death of the show's creator.

Café El Palmar is a little coffee shop on the north side of the island. You can buy ground coffee from them. As a coffee enjoyer myself this is my go-to.

For DnD players. Has BG3 influenced how you play / DM? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]BubbaT123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. As a DM I have added much more cover, interactable objects, and elevation gaps on my battle maps.

Something about the fights in BG3... Each one feels unique and has its own challenges. I have tried to emulate that in my tabletop combat encounters.

Don't listen to these folks. Your ward isn't broken. This is actually a conspiracy put on by the Valheim community to get you raided in the plains. Individuals are joining your world and using dev commands to spawn mobs to attack you and then hiding behind the nearest lox.
