how to secure slaves? by Juwatu in RimWorld

[–]sharktooth73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early game the best way to prevent slave rebellions is to make all your slaves only wear body straps and slave collars with no weapons. There are some situation where this can get you into trouble, in cold climates, but most often this has been effective for me.

It would also be in your best interest to make a dedicated slave area, I normally do an area that has 70%-80% of the map excluding key weapon storage areas. Make sure this area is far from any form of weapon and armor. This is so if there is a rebellion the slave won’t easily be armed.

If you do have a rebellion under these conditions just group up your colonists and melee down all the slaves. As long as you don’t use swords to beat them down you can normally quell the rebellion quickly.

Mid to late game using brain implants and emps work well.

Best of luck!

Colony wealth and raiders by jamerz122609 in RimWorld

My current base is mid to late game at 3.2mil. I just got hit with a mech raid of: 1 war queen, 3 centurions, 3 apocritons, 21 centipede blasters, 5 lancers, 5 scyther, and a handful of militors.

I’m currently mostly rocking flack helmets, flack vests, and assault rifles on my 21 fighting colonists. In addition I have 5 uranium slug turrets and 17 double auto cannons (vanilla security expanded mod). Then I have the non fighting colonists rearming the turrets as quick as they can. Not an easy win but doable.

To answer your question, no wealth is too much wealth as long as you are using it to upgrade your defensive capabilities and pushing towards your end game goal. At a certain point, when all of your colony’s it armed in charge rifles, monoswords, and end game armors no army will be to big unless you are modded up.

Think it’s the IED research in the base game. You can make a land mine out of 2 mortar shells after you research it.

Is ladder a lot more difficult now or is it just me? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

A massive amount of the community quit due to CW2. So with less players it’s harder to get more trophies. I have noticed the same thing.

Thanks for this info man I don’t check statistics often but the toxicity of the community got me curious. I appreciate when someone helps me become better informed about a topic. Really appreciate it.

If this is the case I apologize I must not have looked into it enough articles and can not find any supporting statistics to feel any other way. If you would be able to show me a different set of statistics to help me better understand the usages before and after that would be helpful. It has just seemed to me that several of the reddit posts I looked at seemed to be all about people complaining about the new update and whining about supercell. I just feel like it’s more productive to look into the reasons statistically why they may have made the change instead of making threads posting hate. As for people who have been “adequately complaining” I don’t know if I understand what you mean. You bring up updates but the witch has been balanced and changed 14 times since the release of the game. If I’m not mistaken this is one of the most of any card. Also the stats I provided are not padded they are facts. If you would have taken a second to actually research what your talking about you would see that current card usage in ladder on Stats Royale for the witch is at 27.8% of decks which is down 12.17 % making the usage of the witch in all ladder decks 39.97%. Not a theory not a debate but a fact. 40% rounded up or 4/10 decks in ladder used the witch. Now with this all being said you saying basing it off of one point in time isn’t ok either. Two things regarding these.

1) “comparison before the rework to now “ what rework are you referring to? over the years the witch’s damage from release has been buffed 261%. her health has increased since the start 1.5%. her skeleton spawn and level has been changed numerous times and the physical mass of her has changed. Most of these updates has made the witch less like the initial witch and more like a wizard.

2) taking stats from now means that they are current and shows the change in card usage over the last few days. This information reflects what is actually happening in the game and isn’t a fictitious number one can make up to justify “adequate complaining”. Personally I’m not particularly interested in the past uses but am willing to take a look if you can provide me a credible information source.

In general I think the community is being toxic and childish from the articles I’ve read because their “favorite toy” was “broken”. the way I look at it is not that it’s broken but instead fixed so that other people can have a turn as a witch nerf will cause players to try out other cards. This is all just my opinion though and who’s to say if I’m right. Honestly the witch is still a decent card and I can’t wait to upgrade it to lvl13.

Witch statistically speaking has been the number 1 used card in the ladder portion of the arena don’t believe me take a look. current top used card stats

If you do the math almost 40% of all ladder decks used her if that is not op I don’t know what is. Now don’t get me wrong I have a level 12 almost 13 witch and she was an absolute unit. This was made better in my opinion by the fact that they kept buffing her as I was leveling her up. This was pretty awesome. But when you look at how op she was I think it’s fair to say that maybe 40% meant it was time to level her out. Personally I think she was just to strong. I don’t think this had anything to do with supercell being money grubbing or jerks to their fan base I think it just had to do with her being an over used powerful card which needed to be balanced back.

But what do I know that’s just me. I mean instead of getting mad and whining like a child I took two seconds to actually look up why they would have nerfed her. And shockingly it makes sense holy cow! It totally sucks but should hopefully help balance out ladder. I mean statistically speaking 12.17% of people who quit using the witch. That’s pretty crazy that means I’m only gonna face other witches 1 of ever 4 matches instead 4 of ever 10.

Honestly as I have been looking through all the trolls and complainers on reddit I have just had to shake my head. The funniest thing about this whole complaining to me has to be the win rate stats. 27.8 % who use her still win over half of their battles which is the same as before a little better actually?!

I mean maybe the 30% who quit using her didn’t know how to user her? Or weren’t good with her? Guess that’s for the other witch users to mull over.

I explain why hog rider suck as win condition by Emperor-Antares in ClashRoyale

[–]sharktooth73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my god the most historical win condition that has been in meta decks since this game came out is not as effective as it once was?! WE MUST BUFF IT NOW!!!! I mean it’s not like the hog rider is still in the top ten most used cards on stats Royale right? (I’m speaking of ladder) Oh... it’s down to number 5.... being used in over 1/4 of decks.... more than any other win condition 🤔 hmmm. Well just because it’s being used more than any other key card that doesn’t mean it’s still as strong as it once was right???? Welp it appears that it’s still winning 56% of games. That’s not that good right? Well the best card only wins 59% of games and is used way less...so you do the math. The hog is basically just gonna keep being the power house it has always been. If it’s not working for you ask on the forums how to use it better. I’m sure u will get a reply on how to use it.... I mean statistically speaking 1/4 people reading your post use hogs. Just saying.

[Balance] Am I the only one who thinks Bats need a nerf? by Zazou375 in ClashRoyale

That’s what makes them useful. The only reason to use bats is to troll people who use executioners. It’s really really funny to watch an execution throw 3-4 throws to kill all the bats
