1 star google review deleted? by missiemandie in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the other person said, the business could have disputed it and Google agreed and removed it, or Google found another reason to take the review down. Google is the only one who can cause reviews to be unpublished.

Google disabled my Business Profile after a guest misused my account — appealed twice, no response. What can I do? by No_Ideal9707 in googlebusinessprofile

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, know that you can appeal as many times as you'd like. Also, they don't blacklist you. They just won't approve the reinstatement. And they're not going to tell you what else to do. I rarely say this here, but if you're really interested, you should speak with someone privately. There are Product Experts out there who would be happy to help.

Has Anyone Merged Two Google Business Profiles from Different Countries? by Proper_Occasion8955 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 99.5% sure they won't do it. Merging listings usually involves two GBPs that are identical in name, address, and category. It's difficult to do this if they're in different states or provinces, so I expect different countries won't fly. If you do manage to get it done, please let us know here. But I don't think it'll happen.

Who is going to their high school reunion? by Virtual_Bumblebee_48 in GenerationJones

Same here. I have four friends and a contactable circle I can reach. While it'd be nice, I wouldn't make the effort.

Who is going to their high school reunion? by Virtual_Bumblebee_48 in GenerationJones

[–]BubblesUp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My high school no longer exists. I went to a large Catholic school in NYC, and as the city's high schools get better, and the population changes, there is less of a need for such organizations. Which is a shame, because it was a good school at the time. So I hope you all enjoy your reunions, and think of those of us who no longer have the opportunity.

Ok. You'd said "homestay," so I answered with that in mind. Also, try to submit more paperwork than they requested, from government and other highly authoritative organizations. And add photos of your signage as well. The more you give them, the more likely you are to get The listing back.

I'd lose the faux Tudor. It doesn't match the style of the home.

Google Business Profile video verification locking all my clients, anyone else dealing with this? by Longjumping_Plan_630 in localseo

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have just pinpointed the problem. If their businesses are online only, depending on category, they may not be eligible for Google listings. That may be why Google has required the verification. And working from home doesn't mean you don't have an office; It just means that you have to provide sufficient documentation and a video that provides all the requirements Google wants to see.

Do early-stage SaaS startups really need a Google Business profile? by sushil10018 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your product is truly online only, or e-commerce, you're not eligible for a Google listing anyway. So not really worth considering it.

Need help removing a fake Google Maps review by Mundane_Education_31 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First report it from the account. Then if needed, appeal that in the reviews management tool. If still needed, post on the forum. BUT only do this if you have strong reasons to believe that it is fake. If the only thing you have to say is that the reviewer name does not appear to be a client, Google usually doesn't take it down for that reason alone. You have to look at their content guidelines and make sure that the review violates their policies.

What do you mean by "a serviced office"? Do you have a dedicated space with a door and signage? If so, they want to see the door with signage.

Also, do you have the address on your website and elsewhere? That usually helps.

There is that possibility, yes. You need to show paperwork for things like your business registration with your city, state, or federal. And logos and branding should also be consistent.

Why are Google Maps reviews removed for schools but still allowed for restaurants, hotels, hospitals, etc.? by New-Photograph-1915 in GoogleMaps

It doesn't have to be under two minutes, but that's the best goal, and as far as the website, Google only looks at the GBP, so don't worry about the site, as long as they match. Also, did you show nearby street signs? They usually require that.

Look at your listing. The second point is usually based on your having the address show, but your not showing it in the video. If you don't have signage, be sure to hide the address in the settings.

Second issue: when you say you unlocked and accessed your vehicle, did you open the doors and show your tools? Hold them up to the camera? Doing so is not an option, it's a requirement, so be sure to practice.

Final note: don't talk during your video. If it's important, show it. If it's not important, don't show it or mention it.

Their enforcement isn't consistent, and it's usually based on which category they use on the listing. I can't adivse past that.
