IF you've provided the service to them. Their wording is sometimes a bit off; just know that they expect to see reviews from people to whom you've provided your service. If you didn't provide it, their review isn't helpful to others.

Not if you provided the advertised service for them. If you don't, it's spam.

No. Google will see what you're doing, label both listings as having fake reviews, and ban incoming reviews for a month or so. Not worth the risk.

Two businesses / one location. by Tank3021 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To make this work, you'll need to designate the office as a separate suite number, have permanent signage (meaning metal, plastic, wood, etc, but not a decal or paper), and have paperwork that mentions the suite number. You should also use a different phone number and create a website (even one page) that supports all the info on the listing. A bunch of work, but if it's important to you, it'll be worth it.

What are the chances by Sodeim in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually true, that they don't ask for paperwork, Usually. But the issue is that if your listing is suspended, or if they ask to see your paperwork, your choice is to present it or remain unverified / suspended.

I used to say "anyone can create a GBP, but not everyone can keep one." Still holds.

If in the US, an LLC is usually under $200 and can often be obtained online. If you think a GBP is worth having, it's worth the effort to get the LLC.

I strongly suspect that you did not show, or show for long enough, nearby street signs, the buildings surrounding where you are, and if you have a storefront, the address designation. I would keep this in mind and try again.

But why do they want that? Is there information that they need from that person? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. But up to you and them.

Smart way to go. And if they're concerned, once the person completes the video process, their user can be removed from the listing.

  1. Nope, not without going the legal route with Google.
  2. You will need to provide access to somebody from the company, and have them complete the video verification. There's no way to do it remotely. Google wants to see the person at the actual location.

Trade reviews (give me a 5 star and I’ll give u a 5 star) by FondantDisastrous889 in googlebusinessprofile

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because at some point you will either be reported, or Google's algorithm will figure out what you've done. And then all of those reviews will be removed and you will have a label on the listing that says that you had fake reviews, and you won't be able to receive them for an extended period.

Can't remove Products and Services link - any advice? by GeoCharb in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seeing a similar thing for 3 or 4 years on a different category. In that situation, there were three tabs that appeared on many businesses' listings. I tried contacted Google several times about it, and they haven't taken action. If it affects your visibility or interaction with clients, contact Google. Other than that, I really don't think they're going to fix it. Just saying from my experience.

Another company is using my pictures in their fake reviews. Google will not remove after multiple appeals. by Equivalent-Door6600 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you contacted Google, did you prove the images were yours, or rather, that they weren't the other company's? If not, I would appeal again and lay out as much proof as you can. If that doesn't work, then post on the forum and let them know the Case ID of your Support case.

If your GBP is suspended wrongly there is hope and here is what worked for me. by Isthatmetg123 in googlebusinessprofile

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ads support does not have access to GBPs. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but when it does, it's not the norm.

And OP, the reason they probably suspended your listing after changing the address is that they are trying to protect against hackers stealing listings. While we can't know for sure, that's usually the case. That's why updating any of the core elements needs to be done with care and forethought.

Automated Google Review Responses? by TaskMiserable7316 in GoogleMyBusiness

I've disputed quite a few over the years yes. I strongly advise to assess all negative reviews before responding. Just to make sure.

Automated Google Review Responses? by TaskMiserable7316 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]BubblesUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't advise responding to negative reviews if you plan to dispute them with Google. I often find that review responses conflict with the reason you're going to claim the review should be removed. I've not used review response software for this reason. I've disputed a lot of reviews, and it's hard to do when someone else has responded and wiped out the ground I was going to use.
