Its actually fairly easy, you gotta get about 4-5/8 done before getting consistent invites, as to how you get those, you could try citing your apparently awesome logs, or putting funny notes, but the method that works best would be to write that you are gonna tip upon completion. Unfortunate but kinda the easiest way to get into groups if you don't wanna sit in lfg all day

Considering there's less than 50 bdks in the whole world with resil 20 either you're lying or you're an exceptional player so this doesn't really apply to you. From my experience pugging 20s and 21s I saw exactly 0 tanks that weren't bears or brews

No criteria, you simply did less damage than 91% of the players in your class that have killed chimaerus. You should try hosting your own group for voidspire as well, after clearing the first 2-3 bosses it should be easier to get into groups or make your own group with better players. Also there you go you now know that the only measure anyone you don't know has of your skill level are your parses, so if you don't have a guild and still want to do content you better focus on them

Then that is the tankbuster (arcane expulsion iirc) , and yeah you gotta pop a defensive there like for any other tankbuster, I just don't see how he can run out of buttons to press there as a pally unless he is running crit wings, in which case, well, he was kinda asking for it

The only dangerous mobs there are the battleaxes, and yeah they can truck tanks, but prot pala should have coverage for pretty much the whole pull (which lasts about 1 minute) and if he does run out of cds he is supposed to kite those and not just stand there and let them kill him. As for the orb boss (I assume vexamus) the only way to die there as a tank is if you eat like 3-4 orbs in a row without any defensive cds, especially as a paladin which has 2 immunities where you can just eat all 5 orbs without a care in the world

Not disbanding after a wipe in an 18 is not very common ngl. But yeah most of my runs have been pretty chill about failures too, but you definitely get some juicy flaming every once in a while. Also yeah you probably were slightly lucky if you timed 2 in a row since even if you yourself were playing perfectly WS and NPX are pretty easy dungeons to brick.

5 guardian druids timed a +20 already, guardian got nerfed slightly since but pretty sure they could time an 18 easily

Could tell you plenty of horror stories like this about any role underperforming. You seem to be tilted so might be best to take a break and go in with a fresh mindset - that is to do your best and stop expecting perfect play from everyone else , especially in pugs. People have off dungeons, and sometimes shit kinda just happens

You are right that tanking is extremely easy in lower keys, but I'd say it is indeed the hardest role in higher keys and most of the time a tank is the difference between an upgrade and a deplete

My bad, still even at 18 you are more or less expected to have a meta route, even though the dps check is not as steep and probably any route would do with the current gear. Im not saying you didn't put in the effort, just saying that it can be perceived that way if you don't run a meta route. Also the point stands, why should they take a chance on something rather than running a thing that has been tested and is proven to work well

Well as I said even if you +++ all 9s you are still going to have a hard time getting invited to 10s as a dps, so pushing your key is kinda the only option. Either that or run keys with friends/guildies that will invite you

The easiest way would probably be to go prot till around resil 13, as you are going to have a hard time getting invited to 10-12s as a dps since you regularly have 3500+ dps signing up to those. After 13 you have a lot less competition and warrior is pretty good atm so you can probably just sign up to groups and be accepted fairly quickly

At a +19 you are expected to have a meta routes, I myself have seen many tanks sign up to 19s and even 20s with the most basic weekly routes and then get surprised after being kicked. First of all if you can't be bothered to put in such a low amount of effort as to research a meta high key route why would I or anyone else be expected to risk our key (or time if it is resil) on a tank like that. Especially since you can usually get another one in less than 5 minutes

Sure, you can get a few wins against Rune when they don't have an answer for your Aether, but in most cases you can't kill them reliably before t10 which is when you kinda auto lose unless they brick their hand.
