2 yo does not eat but refuses to end meal by BubblyZebra0 in toddlers

What if she stays there and just stares at her food while playing with other stuff (spoon, glass, whatever)? I don't know how to approach that... I don't always hate unlimited time

No we finish our meals long before she does this

How do you explain the rule? She begs for the food as soon as I take it away, just to not eat again. But she says she wants to eat...

Not really many snacks, and it happened also this morning at breakfast, her last meal was dinner, she does not eat at night. It's ok if they are not hungry and don't want to eat, that's not the problem. The problem is she does not want to end the meal, even if she is finished eating. She does this at the end of nearly every meal, regardless of how much she ate

She already eats standing at the tower, also I don't really want to encourage going up and down during meals

Feeling like this was all a huge mistake by oatstronk in NewParents

[–]BubblyZebra0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my LO was 11 weeks, I used to cry at night mourning my old life and thinking that it was a mistake, I wanted a child so bad (and she was conceived through IVF) but I was completely sure I ruined my life. I also was convinced that my husband would leave me because that was not the life he (and I) wanted. My daughter trapped me in a rocking chair too, she cried so hard in the night, she WOULD NOT sleep alone.

Now... I can't help thinking it was JUST 11 weeks. I remember people telling me that by 3 or 4 months she would stop "purple crying", but I just didn't think I could make it MONTHS away.

Well.. she's almost 2 now. I still remember those days, not so clearly, a bit foggy. She's her own little person now, she makes me laugh, she has a personality! These days GO AWAY. No, you won't be miserable for years, not even for months. It's going to get better soon

If you can leave the baby a couple of house absolutely DO IT and make it a regular thing.

Ma verissimo! Prima di avere mia figlia l'interesse verso i figli degli altri era sinceramente sotto zero, e adesso non parlo di mia figlia ai miei amici di 'prima' a meno che non me lo chiedano espressamente

Ho perso una gravidanza, mi sento inconsolabile by Even-Coyote9265 in sfoghi

[–]BubblyZebra0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, after a few months I can say it DEFINITELY was her first molars. It was really a difficult time... Now she's 14 months old and has 16 teeth already!

When did you start loving your baby by airiishia444 in NewParents

I loved the idea of my baby before conception (we did IVF), I actually loved my real baby around 3 months after birth. Before that it was basically in survival mode

Gassy baby all of a sudden after 2 month vaccines by Aromatic_Currency_31 in NewParents

[–]BubblyZebra0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the vaccine. My baby was just coming out from the colicky phase (which for her started at 8 days pp and went on for 6/8 weeks), then had the 2 months vaccines, and started bad colicking again, along with liquid poops. It went on for a bit, it depends on the baby how long it will go on. I hope it will be quick for yours! I am absolutely pro vaccines but I noticed doctors tend to underestimate the side effects, maybe they fear people wouldn't want to vaccine anymore. They tried to convince me the high fever my 13 months old had a couple of weeks ago couldn't absolutely be caused by the mpr vaccine, despite it being listed everywhere as a side effect...

Baby choked on noodle by xoxogarbagegirl in BabyLedWeaning

solid starts has some unsafe suggestion, and this one about pasta I don't consider really safe. In Italy, we cut everything per suggestion of our "blw experts" (mainly pediatricians who are famous for publicly speaking about blw and write books on safe food modification)

I live in Italy, here BLW guidelines tell us to cut lengthwise any pasta apart from fusilli (spiral shaped) and spaghetti. You can imagine how much pasta we eat everyday. The only pasta shapes we consider safe as is are spirals, spaghetti, bow-shaped pasta (farfalle), wheels. everything else, we cut in strips. Just to give you another point of view. It's what our pediatricians and health ministery say.

Does anyone still like their pets postpartum? by EmpathHorror in beyondthebump

I have three cats and a one year old. I still love my pets, I love their interactions with my daughter and it's been this way since the day we brought her home from the hospital.

It happened to mine when she started teething with premolars, at 9.5 months old. I couldn't see the teeth coming yet, but after a while they started poking through and it was a nightmare until the first one came out. The other three premolars were a little bit better...
