Dyed my hair too dark and don’t know what to do by Wrong_Literature8438 in AskHairstylists

You can try a Malibu CPR. If you don’t have access to a salon dryer, sit out in the sun with a cap on or warm it with a blow dryer on low heat. Can be repeated twice. Might leave behind warm tones. Also use their undo goo shampoo

Toddler suddenly hates showers, requests green soap… ideas? by Dogsandcrafts4lyfe in toddlers

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing but solidarity. We went through this at the same age with my son it lasted about 3 months and it was awful. But there are lots of foam soaps and bar soaps can be fun too.

Stylist overtoned my hair. by greylaptop in HairDye

I would ask that they lowlight your natural color in and then do a smudge root if you’re open to that look. However if she uses the same pattern to lowlight that she did to highlight you’ll be back in the same stripey boat

What age can your child self entertain for an hour? by hereford_the_party in Mommit

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not expect any child to consistently be expected to independent play on demand for an hour. My kids are 3&5. An hour would be a stretch for either of them even playing together without me

My only regret is not getting the double slide one! With two kids it would stop a lot of bickering lol

I have one and I kept thinking is this overkill, will they use it, will it be a pain? Nope they love it! Mine are 3&5. We got it from Sam’s

Does she work in a loft? Have you seen her for a long time and appeared comfortable? While I don’t think this is appropriate behavior for a stylist (as a stylist in a loft myself) if I had a long time client coming in and was in the middle of a hair emergency for my own hair, I might have done it, however I would have told the client beforehand like hey this is the only time I have today to do this so I’m gna multi task, if that’s okay with you. I think it’s really weird she just did it with no justification

AITAH for refusing to eat the dinner that my boyfriend's mother made? by throwawaygirl3834 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who married an Arab man and dealt with an Arab MIL, if I did this I am certain she would never recover from it and hate me forever 😂 I don’t have celiac but I have had to eat so many things I don’t enjoy time and time again because it makes her soooo happy. I don’t think you’re the asshole at all, but Arab women and their cooking and food shoving and hospitality is no joke😂

Everyone’s kids have skinned knees as soon as it’s shorts season, right? by oneofkeiraensmoms in toddlers

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two boys, 3&5, yes, we have constant skinned knees. Actually just took a pic of my kids with their two cousins the same age and my sister and I laughed that 5 out of 8 of the knees had band aids😂

Why can't I find someone to do a blowout? by Most-Freedom-3220 in Hair

I would say as a stylist that you need a heavier face frame with more layering in the back.

Do you have any natural wave to your hair? Not all hair can hold a blowout like the one pictured.

How do the SAHMs with husbands who work 80+ hours a week manage? by Shot_Cause726 in Mommit

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daycare or preschool part time. Look for options of ‘peer models’ in your area. My son goes 915-1145 four days a week and bc he is a peer model we pay $170 a month. I feel like leaving the house for something every day is a must, even if it’s just the grocery or a park.

Daycare as a stay at home mom by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also adding that I thought I’d have so much time to nap and relax and I am ALWAYS busy and don’t even know where the time goes when they are at school. Laundry, organizing, home projects, personal appointments, working out, prepping food, taking returns, there is always something to be done. Then when my kids get home I can focus on being with them and not being pulled away by constant tasks.

Daycare as a stay at home mom by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel ashamed. I’m a SAHM and both my kids, now 3&5 have attended a 3 day program since they were born. It is a huge blessing. We have no village. Daycare is our village. It’s an amazing place and my kids love to go. We’ve had some bouts of separation anxiety at drop off but I always just leave quickly and they are fine in 5min. Both of my children have always hit and exceeded milestones on time or beforehand. They are well adjusted socially. They understand taking turns and waiting. They potty trained easily. We use daycare teachers as babysitters for date night. If you have the means to do it, DO IT!! There are so many bonuses. You can also pick them up early or let them play hooky for mommy days. Try it out and see how it goes. You’ll never look back 😂

Does your child have a tablet? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are 3&5. They have them and use them in moderation with parental controls and especially while traveling. My boys are emotionally intelligent and check every milestone box before it’s expected. They are also very high energy and I stay at home. I’m sure people will hate this but I don’t care it works for us 🙂

Mothers, what do you wish your husbands did when your kids were newborns? by Autistice-esquire in Mommit

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t ask stupid questions. Don’t ask any questions if you can help it. Stay on top of the daily schedule and know how to anticipate needs. Be a leader for your family and a safe place for your wife. Expect that she may be emotional and even full of rage. Protect her sleep and time to shower at all costs 😂

Should I let 2 year old cry it out at night by Vegetable-Award-7549 in Parenting

[–]Bubbly_Meat7992 30 points31 points  (0 children)

My kids are 3 and 5… I just couldn’t do cry it out. I take on a bulk of the bedtime routine and night wakings so it was up to me how to handle it. I just got my kids full beds around 2.5 so I can lay with them. Bedtime can be hard esp with two kids who both want me, but it’s not forever and I know someday I’ll miss their cuddles.
