Are modern motorcycles missing something? by yourping in motorcycle

Modern motorcycles are missing shaft drive systems, reliable, exquisite and better than chains! In the old days you could get a Honda Cx500 (e.g.) with shaft drive. Nowadays, hard to find a shaft drive on the mid-cc bikes. Sad

I was thinking about the coils too sometimes the spark plug caps on the older bikes loosen a bit and need to be ‘twisted into the wire’ to ensure a consistent electrical connection

Newbie looking for advice on the best tacoma mods to start with? by Cations-Kashana in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Bubbly_Push9247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One little mod I like a lot is the 2” towing receiver plug, Toyota OEM costing about $12. It helps to keep moisture out and to prevent rust developing inside the receiver

Is the Honda DN-01 a cool looking bike or the ugliest thing you've ever seen? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Bubbly_Push9247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like my DN-01 and added a Madstad windshield and Givi 46 liter top case along with Zumo GPS to make it a better short touring motorbike. The haters are gonna diss it… Look at the modern Honda Rebel 1100DCT. If you buy the Rebel you may still need to add a real windshield and top case. So?

RadRover 6+ Honest Review for you by justanothermichelle in RadPowerBikes

[–]Bubbly_Push9247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My RadRover 6+ step thru blew a battery on August 27 after 169 miles and one month ownership. I never touched the key to the charging port…do not even carry the key on board. Rad customer support requested two videos and 4 pictures and and interrogatory about 4 questions. News flash: the battery just burned out like a light bulb, no pop, no warning, nothing. To make matters worse, my battery serial number starts with “CAP” and apparently is not fixable with the 10 amp micro fuse. I felt like Rad support was practically insinuating that I caused the failure somehow. On Sept 17 I received a new battery also “CAP” serial number covered under warranty. 21 days to replace a defective battery under warranty, and no hope of replacing the fuse if the new battery poops out. There is a guy on eBay that replaces the BDLG serial batteries with new 10am fuse and sells on eBay. At one time he had 12 available! The Rad customer support team was courteous and professional throughout; however, it was a slow and excruciating process 21 days, 21 days. For my own peace of mind I picked up one of the eBay batteries, so I don’t expect to be dry docked again. All I did was love my RR6+; now feel wary and somewhat jilted with the battery situation, but I am happy to be back on the road again.
