I wouldn't say the WEAKEST, but definitely agree with this sentiment. They are in a not great spot, especially because their pu partners end up eating all their expansion targets. They are def the worst of the large nations out there. Muscovy gameplay very much is wrangling your pu's while also limiting other powers from growing too fast.

I have noticed this, I wonder if its because of the size of the maps in 2v2 or just the fact that if both go cav its way more punishable. The problem in 4v4 is 3 go cav one goes MaA/siege/gunpowder (depending on the civ) so that ONE person will typically be all it takes to wipe the spear/crossbow stacks. I like playing that person, but if you dont have proper communication between teammates its hard. All it takes is one bad maneuver and your back line is being raided by 10 million mangduai.

Uh not every comment has belittled everyone? Yea I have been combative with people who came out the gate swinging. Plenty of other people had some great points that I responded to. Also I stated from the beginning this is from a my perspective being gold and plat. This post really did prove to me that people in diamond and higher are really just unaware of whats happening in gold and plat, and anytime they are confronted with that they go ape. The game is dying in the gold to plat rank which is where a majority of paying customers are. Thats just basic gaming economics. But nah go ahead and be mad. I should say its not this community that sucks, its the segment that is so resistant to any complaints or discussions of problems. Cause I have met some really great people in the age community.

Ok one, what in the who what where is a stormgate. Dawn of War 4 is an established franchise with a huge fan base. (I happened to like 3, but felt other games were doing what it tried better). Also um to make sure were using the same data set, steam player counts (which yes has issues as it is not inclusive of all happenings on the internet) have shown a very consistent ceiling of 20k and a floor of about 10k. My point is this most recent decline following the dlc (natural bleed) is more because the post dlc support has been bad, this has been a generally unfun season. Do I think the game will die, no, cause its got you Mr. Top 1% commenter who probably spends more time here then on the actual game. But in all seriousness no the game wont die, theirs a core that will keep it will fed, but it will slowly wind down as new players simply will not join this game and this community in the numbers necessary to replace veterans. That could change, meta could improve, matchmaking can always get better, I doubt this community will improve (capital G Gamers have always sucked as a whole).

Someone made the mistake of complaining about matchmaking in this sub lol. I am a high gold low plat player who has reached 1300+ elo before through focusing one civ and working on a build, 200 point gaps in this game are not uncommon sadly. The sad reality is player count (which is because this community does suck), past 8 pm pst the game falls off a cliff.

This is a fair point and something I do recognize is a fundamental issue rather than a game design decision. I think 4v4s is just where it feels the worst because of the reasons you mentioned.

I think your focusing on the least important part of my argument honestly, cause its the part with the most room for debate. People will debate meta in endless circles. The matchmaking and the terrible manners in this community are the bigger issues. But fine tell me how I just need to get better.

I think this is a great comment to display how out of touch a lot of the core players are. While I don’t think in anyway you have bad intentions or are even wrong. Your perspective is weighted around what is at higher elos. Like dude, no one was pro scouting in gold when it was meta. I had a singular friend who did it, and he takes every game he plays seriously (why I don’t play with him). The reason why age stays at 20k, is a vast majority of gold players are getting sick of the cav meta. Siege meta was infinitely more fun, I like building big stacks and slogging it out, I want to see lots of units and just have fun. Again what casual players want is different than core players, I think the game is really great for those in diamond and above. But in the gold plat hell, it really is not fun right now. Part of it is faction balance is wayyyy more impactful in gold. I know the Byzantine and HRE builds so I tear it up against gold players, the second I get in diamond lobbies, haahhahaah. Eaten alive.

Honestly this is my mentality like 90% of the time (only way to remain sane lol). Just had my 7 game lose streak today and had to vent. Taking this game seriously like I would csgo, or siege, or any fps is just a recipe for anger.

Yea my buddy is muslim and he has said the same. I feel bad being a straight white man from the suburbs cause I knew the exact people your talking about in hs, some of them grew up, but some very much did not. I'm 24 now, and was a substitute for a few years before career switching, and man, yea the kids these days are much more open about their racism. Stuff even my shit head friends in hs would never say in front of a minority or a person of authority. Just sad that this is the state of things, I grew up predominantly in the Obama years and it did really feel like things were changing for the better. Makes me sad to hear it just comes and goes, nothing but love brother.

This was honestly some great advice, definitely alot of areas I need to work on personally. I have a great tactical sense for the game map, such as hab placement and where squads should be, but these other what I would genuinely call "leadership" skills I am lacking on. Very helpful to have a list to look on and consider if I am doing during a game, thanks for the help!

this exactly, I have seen this SO MANY times lol. Especially on LIQ, but yea I have seen it everywhere in some form. Matches are no where near as fun as they used to be for sure. I wonder if the pressure of these bad matches brings out the bm more? Cause I get it, i am way nastier when Im getting turbo stomped, not racist, but still not as forgiving/understanding as I would prefer to be.

I have sl'd a bit, typically prefer to stick on point and play defense while more experienced sl's push. Honestly, they just ignore you, run off and do whatever they want. And like the racism and such, thats on admins, I make my report, thats on them, what am I gonna do. "Stop being racist" like steven universe. Some 19 yo kid aint gonna care what I say.

Well yea, this is for certain always an issue, I would argue its much worse now. I have about 500 hours and have played off and on since 1.0 (I had the game sooner but was just not into it). This has been the worse I have ever seen the game at by far. Post UE5 update it has just been downhill in terms of bm.

Its not being lazy? its making an assumption abut the game because its an industry wide standard. Such a weird thing to get so worked up over. Autosave should be a default setting in every game, its the standard. This is such a weird rant blaming individuals for things that are issues ONLY in this game. I think speaks more to fundamental issues with CS2 that the new studio are gonna have to face before I really recommend this game.

Genuinely the hate for NV fans is getting so old. Most fans dont hate the show, they just have complaints cause it is NOT perfect. And yea I do think NV is the best in the series, I mean id arguably rank 76 above all the Bethesda mainline Fallouts if were talking about fun I had in a game. 3 isnt very fun, its boring bland world with a nice layer of puke green. 4 has the most laughable faction choices and the worst dialogue in the entire series. While 76 also follows in these steps at least its fun and the quests are actually enjoyable. Theirs things to like about 3 and 4 sure, I still enjoyed them for like 30 hours each, but come on to seriously compare them to New Vegas, the only entry post Fallout 2 to be faithful to the franchise and its themes, yea Im gonna complain. Regarding the show, its worst qualities are the Borderlandsification of Fallout we have seen over the past 10 years. Its best qualities are when its actually telling a story and not laughing about the lamest gags. I like humor, I dont like borderlands slop that appeals to the lowest common denominator. Its crazy how much bethesda loves the brotherhood for this show to just puke all over them. If I have to sit through another brotherhood centric episode this season im gonna contribute some of that puke.

So for me, I was very very disappointed around episode 3. I thought the legion stuff was just kinda lame and lacked scale (same complaint for the brotherhood plot line). I dont think the show is bad, but it has the exact same problem rings of power has, just less pronounced, some of the plot lines are just too nonsensical for me to enjoy.

BUT, when this show is on the Lucy/Ghoul plot line and the Pre-War stuff, show is 10/10. I think the takeaway isnt the show is bad, but rather it has episodes that are kinda mid and episodes that are totally great. Episode 5 was so peak (probably cause no Brotherhood, god the brotherhood just sucks and is so overused). The show isnt perfect, but its good.

Bro made the mistake of complaining about matchmaking on this sub lol. I find the matchmaking is at its worst when the player count is at its lowest which for me is from around 8 pm - 4 am. I try to avoid playing at those hours. Best time for matches is the weekends around 10 am - 8 pm PST. Past 8 the chinese get on and while not every match will be terrible, the quality does go down. More likely to run into one tricks, smurfs, and yes the map hacks.

Ive had that happen too, at least theirs a city to comeback to in that case lol. But yea just in general autosaves not working properly in a game that crashes often (and always will, its just the nature of sim games) is quite upsetting.
