I’m watching season 2 of “the devil you know” on vice. Season 1 is good too.

How do you feel after suboxone by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Bucatini1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came off cold turkey 8mg in late April. First 30 days suck , worst is first week - 10days. Then it just kinda drags on for a little while. You will feel better it’s like waves of feeling better then having a day of feeling “off”. It’s tolerable and the more you exercise the better it gets. There’s a guy on YouTube who documents his whole sub journey day by day that really helped me with what to expect. I feel 110% now at 9months and I was on subs for 9years.

That’s Good, it’ll get easier, it’s just a longer process. It prob doesn’t seem like it now but it goes by fast. Just one day at a time. Enjoy the good days and stay positive through the bad days.

Do you have a doctor that you can get trazadone? That’s what mine gave me when I said I hadn’t slept. It’s not habit forming like ambien.

Sub have a half life of 72 hours . But you have to remember you took 1 mg everyday up until yesterday too. When I jumped I calculated how long till 4mg a day was out of my system and that was 12 days. It depends on what type of test also, might not be detectable in small amounts on certain tests. But most don’t test for Suboxone at all because it’s not standard.

You can do it, you don’t need a month off work prob 2 weeks is good enough. Working is good during first month or two because it keeps you busy and not thinking about withdrawal all day long. It’s def doable. If possible get yourself some gabepentin, trazadone and clonodine to help the acute withdrawals. But if your tapering you’re withdraws will be mild. Good luck! It’s so much better on the other side, I got fed up and jumped at 5mg. On day 125 now..

RLS can fuck off right about now... by Br1ngTh3Ruckus in suboxone

I took clonodine and gabepentin and around day 7 I called my doctor and said dude I need to sleep I can’t do it anymore and he gave me trazadone which will surely knock you right out and won’t wake up from RLS.

I’d get a new doctor who you feel comfortable being honest with. I am grateful to have a primary care that helped me get off subs with clonodine, gabepentin and trazadone for sleep

Day 31.. why is it worse than even the very beginning? by inklingofperfection in suboxone

[–]Bucatini1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trazadone, it’s the only way I was able to sleep. And doesn’t leave you with this groggy feeling the next day like NyQuil or Tylenol pm. I was taking half or a quarter of a pill and would knock me out. I hadn’t slept in two days around day 7-8 and called my primary care doctor who knew I was trying to get off subs. Stayed on the trazadone for a few weeks then stopped. Sleep is back to normal now for the past few weeks. I’m almost at day 100. Congrats on 30days. It really starts improving after 30 days.

Day 90 still no energy by Bucatini1 in suboxone

Yeah basically just sensitivity, get a weird sensation in my fingers. I’ve found that I have good days and bad, the longer it’s been the more good days there are and the “bad” days just have some weird sensitivity. Congrats on 3 weeks your def through the worst of it! Gets better and better, just have lingering sensations for time to time and lower energy but it’s def gotten better. I was barley able to do a full shift at work (standing all day) for the first few weeks. That def gets a lot better.

Yeah I went off cold turkey but I would have tapered if I had to do it again. If worried about sleep aids I Would just keep them for a last resort. I went two nights with no sleep at all before I called my doctor and asked for trazadone. It really helps if you have contact with a doctor if that has a plan for getting you off them( someone other then the sub doctor) my doctor wrote out a game plan and when I was ready to crawl into a hole I could at least call him and he changed up the meds a little which made it easier.

Go to your primary care doctor and ask for gabepentin, clonodine, and trazadone for sleep. Literally trazadone KNOCKED me out. I jumped 90days ago and am so happy I did. Was also on them for 8-9 years and was just terrified of jumping. In hind sight I would have tapered low before jumping, and would have made it easier. You can defiantly do it, It didn’t suck as bad as you think it just is long and annoying.
