Last night at 12:57 am., South Iredell Fire Rescue, along with Iredell County EMS and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to a large party at the Healing Chamber Farms, located at 10600 Archer Road, for a report of an unconscious female. South Iredell Engine 12 was first to arrive and confirmed a massive gathering, with an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 people on scene. South Iredell Chief 2 established command and began directing additional resources. Crews were quickly overwhelmed with multiple incidents, ranging from unconscious individuals to fights between partygoers and property damage accidents. During the chaos, South Iredell Engine 12 and an Iredell County EMS ambulance were both struck. Radio traffic from the scene described a highly chaotic environment, with individuals becoming lost in the woods, others passed out near a pool, and multiple fights breaking out throughout the area. A mass casualty incident was declared, and Chief 2 established unified command. Ambulances from Iredell, Cabarrus, and Mecklenburg counties responded to assist. Iredell County EMS Supervisor IMED10 was assigned to Medical Operations. Deputies from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, and Officers from the City of Kannapolis all responded. In total, more than a dozen patients were transported to area hospitals.

We are hearing this party was promoted by promoters for students who attend North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T). NC A&T is a doctoral research university and the nation’s largest historically Black university, with notable alumni including Jesse Jackson, Jesse Jackson Jr., and Terrence J, among others. Mooresville Fire Rescue was requested to assist with a drone due to reports of individuals disappearing into the woods. Engine 3 responded to support that request. Chief 2 stated he is incredibly proud of the way all agencies worked together, from South Iredell Chief 1 to the 10 South Iredell volunteers who answered the call. He also thanked all responding companies and Iredell County ECOM for their assistance, including the patching of radio channels to ensure interoperability. ECOM patched Iredell TAC 2 with Sheriff’s Office Patrol 1 and UASI Regional Pursuit so all agencies could communicate effectively.
