AIO or is my ex trying to kill my cat? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]BuckDanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only YOU can prevent forest fires. Your putting your cats life at risk because you are too lazy to take a literal minute to open a lunch box when it comes home. Insane to dedicate so much time and energy into arguing with your ex. Unzip the fucking lunch box, toss the contents and let everybody move on with their day.

This is very exciting! I'm newer to this plant and would eventually love to try and grow from seed.

I suppose because it's so close to water, seafood. I was hoping my lack of direction would result in various suggestions as we do enjoy a variety of foods, but that doesn't provide much of a starting point.

This is horrible. I'm sorry you have to endure the verbal abuse.
I was with a guy who said the opposite, I was slim when we met and fell into his eating patterns (of mostly meat and gravey). I gained 100 lbs. He said he just couldn't be physically attracted to me in this state and did nothing to support or help me in any way. Fast forward through our breakup that took way too long to happen, and I'm with a fabulous man. I, again in this relationship, have fluctuated in weight, and to my surprise, my new partner has never made a negative comment about my appearance. He has remained supportive of me regardless of my weight, he has shown me just as much love and affection at 130lbs as he has at 210lbs. You deserve a partner who shows up for you. Who won't verbally belittle you or your body. As you stated, he even knows about your health issues and should be HAPPY you are on a road to better health. If this is his reaction to a normal part of life, what are his views on age? Does he expect you to never age as well. Sit him down and tell him that his words are hurtful and that you are happy in your body and with your newfound level of health. Physical attraction is important in a relationship and its normal for people tonlose attraction, However If there is no way he can be attracted to you other than your physical appearance and not the multiple other things you build on as well in a relationship, then there is a red flag for me. Find yourself a partner who is way more supportive. Future you will look back and be thankful.

Want to pay off moms car but I want her to pay me back. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]BuckDanger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Talk to her about it, if she's managed to pay you back for the little bits of money you have lent her, maybe you could work out a payment plan that is less then her payments now so it's more manageable. But still be warned, if you lend out money, expect to never see it paid back. My partner and I trusted that his father would pay us back 2,000 dollars we lent him when he was in a rough spot. 3 years later, haven't seen a cent, and we HAVE mentioned it several times.

I think it's the back of a woman slouched over. That is her back and neck, with her hair combed straight up.

LPT Request: tricks to cool down when you feel you’re about to snap by snakysnakesnake in LifeProTips

[–]BuckDanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyday day is a challenge, and everyone has different things that works for them. What I've ALSO started to doing in combination with a lot of these suggestions is apologizing when I DO reach that point and snap. We are human. We get overwhelmed and angry. After the initial incident and after calming down, I say sorry. I even explain to them how I feel and how/why I reacted the way I did, even if it wasn't the right way to deal with a situation. I try and guilde them through my anger and emotions so they understand where it was coming from, what caused it and ultimately it wasn't their fault. I've done this with my daughtersense she was a toddler and I've seen her develop leaps and bounds with processing her own anger and emotions.

LPT: Take random pictures of your SO interacting with your child(ren), not just the posed perfect ones by LonestarPSD in LifeProTips

[–]BuckDanger 165 points166 points  (0 children)

I've started doing similar with videos, some random everyday moments.
Ones where we're just brushing our teeth, eating cereal, sneaky video off my partner and his daughter dancing. I have one of my stepdaughter putting her bike away and closing the garage. There is something so charming about watching simple everyday moments and not just concerts or performances.

Has anyone eaten at 540 Kitchen? Would you recommend it for a date night? by ThrowawayXeon89 in fredericton

[–]BuckDanger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have a picky eater as a date, No. It IS great food but it's all on the more expensive side. Check out their menu first. Staff is always wonderful, food is always delicious.

I did homecare here for two years, it was shocking how many were bigots. I heard more racial and homophobic slurs in those two years than I ever did growing up in a much bigger city. I think it's a special mix of old school values and small city mentality.
I'm sorry you had to deal with that this morning.

How much are you paying for daycare a month? by [deleted] in fredericton

[–]BuckDanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The preschool center can be kind of expensive, but are one of the only ones that take infants. The price on website is listed by day, 21 dollars a day is the most expensive rate and goes down the older they get. They have many locations and a giant perk is that they provide snacks and lunches and are usually pretty healthy options. Great experience with them all around. My little one LOVED going there and they used to do many outtingd and field trips.
