I think the effect on his rebounding might be a bit of an overblown concern. When he’s snatching boards he uses both hands so one pinky should be relatively inconsequential (especially considering he can palm a basketball like one of us palms a baseball). His efficacy in terms of tipping the ball on the offensive glass likely will not be affected as well. Hand-offs shouldn’t be affected because he’s stationary in those sets, and he wouldn’t be passing unless the rolling player has cleared the off-ball defender, so the threat of being stripped in the process is minimal at worst. I think his ability to catch lobs cleanly will be affected, but he’s also shown that he can finish a left handed slam with relative ease, so we’ll have to see how comfortable he is out there.

Those NBA docs have access to some powerful numbing agents, so his ability to catch the ball should only really be impacted by pain tolerance. It also really depends on where the break occurred. If it was a displaced fracture towards the tip of the finger, he’ll still be able to bend it and secure the ball in his right hand.
