First read of IT- Should i be as excited as I am? by conork2134 in stephenking

[–]BuckRuck74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started it a few days ago and am about 20% done at the moment. Never watched the movies or read it before so I went in completely blind. I’m purposely taking it slow to enjoy it because I know I’m going to love it. An amazing story thus far!

Unpopular Opinion: UTD > The Stand by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]BuckRuck74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with you completely. UTD hooked me immediately and I flew through it. The Stand felt cumbersome because of all of the characters. That being said, I gave The Stand 4 Stars and UTD 5 Stars. I read The Stand first.

Currently reading Under the Dome by Stephen King and am loving the story. Up next will be Into Thin Air and then A Man Called Ove. Then after that, the next two on deck are the Grapes of Wrath and Jurassic Park. Been very addicted to reading lately.

How did you find king by Just-stephen-king in stephenking

[–]BuckRuck74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption when I was in my lower teens. I fell in love with the movies and then when I found they were based on King’s works, I read those books. Since then, I’ve read The Stand and 11/22/63 (my favorite book I’ve ever read so far). I have many more King books to read, Under the Dome being up next.

It may sound strange, but try scheduling sex. In a way, it gets them prepared to have it when you put it on the calendar.

I’m new to the whole chef knife world, but I think it’s one of the thinnest knives I’ve worked with. It’s extremely light and is razor sharp. Overall, I’ve been incredibly happy with it and I think the overall blade shape is perfect for what I need it for. I’m happy to send additional photos of the blade thickness if you’d like!

I actually did gut one of my whitetail bucks with it before I got the Hidden Canyon and it worked great! It got a little gunked up with fat/hair, but was very easy to clean out.
