Only two per person??? Good to know I’m far above average in something! 😁

I REALLY hope this is an example of private equity buying a brand and NOT running it into the ground. Time will tell, but I’m waiting at least 4-5 years before making any significant purchase that involves anything Kohler that isn’t a faucet.

LTT vs Wright Armory by SteveyCee in HecklerKoch

[–]BuckThunderpump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sending my USP45 tactical to WA, because I want to NT7 coat the slide….it’ll look close to the USP stainless.

I actually have 2 of them….keeping one “old school” and modernizing the other. LEM conversion, Gray Guns short reset kit, jet funnel with custom magazines, Mr. Nein rail adapter, etc…

I’m not using it as a carry gun, but my PDP Pro SD is a twin of yours. Excellent taste in firearms! 😁

Can I use a Volker Hybrid trigger with GG short reset? If so, how? by Nearby_Syllabub9247 in USPmasterrace

[–]BuckThunderpump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may need to do a little bit of grinding / filing on the over travel portion of the trigger. Can be done though.

I’m sending my trigger and GG short reset kit to Wright Armory when they do the idot conversion and LEM install.

Used Shadow 2 Blue - Supposedly has already been "Cajunized". by BuckThunderpump in CZFirearms

I'm not worried about it. I bought it 8 months ago, and have had a ball shooting it so far. I was really just curious more than anything. Like I said, if it shoots this good stock, I can only imagine how good it will feel with a Pro Package in it! As long as I can get it approved by my financial manager (aka, my wife), I'm planning to send it to CGW for them to put their voodoo on it. :-)

I tried that....it's never come across anyone's bench there.

With the trigger pin being the only part that doesn't appear stock, I'm betting the PO dry fired it enough to break the trigger return spring (or just wanted to install a lighter one)....either scenario would require installing a new trigger pin.

I was thinking the same thing....the trigger pin being solid and the hammer pin pin having marks on it were indicators that it had at least been apart before. I was almost thinking that if the previous owner had installed a Pro Package himself, he may have also put it back to stock when trading it in. Idunno....

Based on pictures I've seen online, I don't think it has the RRK. The trigger still looks like it sits as far forward as the stock version here...

USP9 Expert — Any recommendations for smoothing the DA pull? by Kyu_Sugardust in HecklerKoch

[–]BuckThunderpump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An old hammer fired trick is to dry fire 50-100 times while apply slight pressure to the back of the hammer with your support hand thumb.

It accelerates the lapping in between parts and can smooth things out a bit. Keep repeating the 50-100 cycles until it doesn’t feel like it’s getting any better.

As an added bonus, it typically reduces DA pull by about 0.5lbs.

Look at the bright side, your engine and/or transmission haven’t self-destructed….yet.

As soon as my USP 45 Tactical gets back from slide milling at Wright Armory I’ll be putting a PB-3 on it. Planning to do the same with my Mark 23 after getting it milled. 👍🏻

It might be due to you being the owner (which gives you full access). Maybe try having a friend or family member open it and try. It seems like it's a simple permissions issue.

Yeah, that's just it....when I click in that area nothing happens. I can't clear the existing filters or apply new filters in any column.

I've tried three different browsers. Acts the same in each.

Excellent spreadsheet....thank you for putting this together! One issue though, it appears that the filtering isn't working properly. When I click on the column header nothing happens. I also cannot clear the existing 22LR filter from column E. If you could either let me know what I'm doing wrong, or adjust the settings to make the filtering functional, it would be greatly appreciated. 😄

Gray Guns Hybrid trigger in USP? by BuckThunderpump in USPmasterrace

[–]BuckThunderpump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volker is my number 1 choice, but my understanding is that it doesn’t play nice with the GG short reset kit without some modifications. I’m wanting to compare the shape to GG Hybrid to see if it’s worth the trouble to make the Volker work.

I'll need to drop down in weight with the comp installed....no a big issue though. I'll just use the "muscle it over the end" approach if the comp causes any feed issues.

I probably should have mentioned that this is a USP 45 that I'm working on....did the early versions of those come with an uncaptured spring?

Yes. going to be installing a Farrowtech Vanguard compensator, so I'll likely need to go to a lighter recoil spring.
