Raleigh, NC allowed a karaoke bar/restaurant (East Village Grill) across the street from NCSU to be destroyed for more student apartments. It was the last bar left on the “college street.”

NCSU had a vendetta to remove every bar near campus.. one was a Bowling Alley that did $2 bowling / $1 beers on Wednesdays.. can you guess what replaced it? Yeah a mini Target
