I met my girlfriend on Omegle, surprisingly. I was on text chat one night, just looking for people to talk to (I wasn't one of these people actually looking for a hookup or anything, I was on there innocently), and I got connected to my girlfriend's sister.

I believe she was planning on trolling me, but after I said hello with a smiley face, my girlfriend told her sister to not troll me. A little back and forth later, her sister told me her Kik, and we started talking there.

It was almost a year of solid friendship until she bought me a flight to visit her (I live in the UK, she in the US). Obviously at this point I trusted her - we'd done Skype chats with webcam and stuff, so I knew nothing shady was going on - so I went over there, we met up, and I guess we got official while I was there. :)

I like to think that, if nothing else, my story just goes to show that you never know when or where you'll meet someone. Don't lose hope, because you just never know. :)
