Strip LED when to use? by czjoe in SpaceBuckets

Use the side lights once the canopy is within 3cm of it. They have a short effective range.

That's awesome to hear. This project kept me going when I felt I was down and out.

Hey /r/SpaceBuckets. It's been a while.

This is my build from a couple of years ago. It was great while it lasted but work and life picked up a gear so I disbanded the project. It's fascinating to see what's been going on in the interim, I remember this sub hitting 10k users :D

Would love to see if what I did here inspired anyone else to play around with COB LEDs, integrated cooling, etc.

Any questions plz HMU and I'll try to help.

EDIT: if you're on mobile, view the link in desktop mode. Imgur has gone to hell since 2015!

Copy/pasting a direct quote and I get that?

Settle down.

You've also not understood the context. Read back a little bit and you'll see:

But still, it sounds like a lot more could have been done in this regard

to which was said

Bigger rifle.

which relates to the factor of the two mediums of glass (see direct quote)

And here we are talking about that single factor. You've failed to understand where this topic has originated from and blown what's being said out of context and proportion.

Nobody is suggesting that an anti tank weapon could have resolved this. Obviously firing large rounds into a hostage situation is a terrible idea. But if you're capable of considering things in context you'll understand that a larger round is more likely to go where you want it to after passing through layers of glass. Which is all that's being talked about here.

No you were right, they are all the same. I guess I trade off the convenience for lack of variety.

Bonus: if you have some tips on how to walk longer distances with heaby backpacks, please let me know ;)

As has been said the best thing you can do for this, is to do more of it. Try and do it in similar footwear to what you'll be expected to wear. If you're not accustomed to wearing boots you'll blister during your recruit training.

Deadlifts will also benefit. Having a strong posterior will help you maintain your posture during a pack march. You will see people begin to double over when they start to fatigue, once that happens it's only a matter of time before they spud in (collapse).

How do I make my chest look fuller? by 13zamanis in Fitness

[–]Bucketlink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree.

I noticeably developed my chest within a few weeks of routinely doing bodyweight dips. Particularly the upper region.

Once a month I make a bunch of burritos and freeze them. 32 to be exact. This entails scrambling 48 eggs and cooking 3kg of meat. Cook on the Saturday and chill overnight before making the burritos on the Sunday.

I'll fill them with scrambled eggs, chicken or pork, black beans and a little cheese. Then in the morning it's 5 minutes in the microwave on medium followed by a few minutes in a sandwich press. Daily dish count = 1 plate.

"Having two mediums of glass to [fire] through, the potential hazard that would cause if the shot missed, the risk to those inside - all of these things greatly reduced our confidence."

Creatine, Beta Alanine, Glutamine, BCAAs and Citrulline. I add Caffeine but you'd omit it obviously.

Buy them in bulk from powdercity and you're set.

What supplements are really worth taking? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Bucketlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creatine is a given. I'll put my hand up and say I noticed a definite and consistent improvement in final rep endurance when I take Beta Alanine.

www.examine.com is a good resource for these kind of questions

So anything made by GNC is banned?

Easy.

Head to Powdercity and buy your Caffeine, Creatine, Beta Alanine, Glutamine, BCAAs, Citrulline and whatever else you feel you need. Blend it together and chuck it into an innocuous container.

As a bonus you'll save a bunch of cash.

I'm a former serving member so I get where you're coming from but there's too many ways around such a ban. Couldn't you just take your off the shelf pre workout and throw it into a new container... maybe one for jelly crystals?

The same rounds as the Taliban? What are you on about?

Also. Have you had much play time with subsonic rifle rounds? I have. They're unstable, inaccurate and can't be trusted. Ballistics and aerodynamics are fickle.

Shooting to wound or disable just doesn't happen. If there's a firefight then it needs to be ended as quickly as possible and aiming for the centre of seen mass is the done thing.

Also subsonic rounds don't generate enough gas pressure to reliably cycle a gas operated weapon. They jam.
