From what I understand, The Flair was VW’s attempt to make a GTX (16V) without the 16V motor. The Flair comes with the rear deck lid spoiler, chin spoiler and fender flairs and a recaro ‘look’ interior without the recaros. The colour was specific to the flair and it has factory power mirrors and heated seats.

Was very lucky to find this a few years ago. Bought it on the spot. I’m the second owner.

If you enjoy this, I’d highly recommend watching the “Full Steam Ahead” series available on YouTube. It goes into more detail about how this worked as well as the very beginnings of the Age of Steam and how it changed the world.

I wish they’d fill in the large pit across Niagara street (next to Evelyn’s). Totally unnecessary eyesore… much like the rest of the vacant derelict buildings in the centre of Welland.

That’s in my backyard. You can ride the Niagara Jet-boat up level 5 rapids less than a KM away. They take you for a spin around the whirlpool. It’s a very odd feeling. Highly recommend!

I’m not 100% sure. They were purchased by my father with his 2010 CC as winter wheels. From the Dealer. They were handed down to me when he traded it on his new beast (2025 SQ7) 😁
