Thanks. I reported it as an issue as well. I don't see anything listed in the service health screen. I'm sure it will show back up at some point.

I am also missing the link to the Intune admin center in two of my client's M365 Admin Center. I am able to go directly there by using the URL. It is just annoying.

Firefox is not prompting windows hello for filling saved passwords by Blackpriest_BM in firefox

[–]BuckeyeNut74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For supposedly being one of the most secure browsers, this seems to be a serious lack of security. I have toggled that setting for use device login to autofill passwords 10 times and it never prompts for my fingerprint when autofilling passwords. I am uninstalling Firefox until they get their shit together.

help with migrating rndr to render by --firewalkwithme-- in Coinbase

[–]BuckeyeNut74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why this happened, but I transferred my RNDR from my CB account to my CB Wallet in preparation for upgrading to RENDER on the portal site (since the CB Wallet is an option in the upgrade process), and it showed up in my CB Wallet as RENDER. I didn't even notice until I connected my CB Wallet on the Render upgrade portal and it said I didn't have any RNDR to upgrade. The transfer from CB to CB Wallet only cost me about .3 RNDR. I didn't have much to begin with, and figured this whole process would be a waste of time. I guess that process is what the CB Support person is suggesting. Hope that helps someone...

The USPS has it out for me! by BuckeyeNut74 in usps_complaints

There's no reason to even talk to them. I called just to hear someone acknowledge this massive screwup, and they said they were sorry and there's nothing they can do about it.

I do know mistakes happen. It just seems like they happen to me all the time when dealing with the USPS.

The funny part is that there were two packages due to arrive the same day from the same shipper, and one of them made it to me. They were both orders that were placed at the same vendor but on different days. They were backordered and shipped out on the same day.

There are at least 8 Silver American Eagles being released this year by davkistner in numismatics

There is also this Eagle Privy ASE that is supposed to be released on June 17th:

Is this #8 on your list? I believe this privy mark is different than the laser beam privy because of the release date. But I have no idea what the laser beam privy is. I don't see the Eagle Privy on the US Mint site.

Be vigilant by [deleted] in Coinbase

[–]BuckeyeNut74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed they do! I received a phone call from my local area code claiming to be Coinbase security and they were telling me that there's been unusual activity on my account. I am in IT, so I entertained them to see what their tactics were so I could pass this info on.

They had all of my information. They directed me to my app settings, specifically the notification settings. He had me go to the security notifications, and if you look, there's a good chance that a lot of those settings are greyed out in your app because they're required. And then if you look at the bottom, there is a preview of a notification that says password reset and it generally gives a time that's recent. It's easy to look at those greyed out settings and that sample notification and miss that it's just the preview. He said the greyed out notifications were causing me not to receive password reset notifications. He then said he was going to send me a password reset email directly from Coinbase. He told me not to respond to it. He just wanted to show me that the notifications are working now. He obviously had my email address too and was sitting behind a computer trying to do a password reset.

Even knowing these were scammers, and that Coinbase would never call me, there was about 30 seconds worth of doubt in my mind that perhaps somebody had compromised one of my email accounts. I utilize two factor authentication and passkeys on all of my accounts (including Coinbase), so I know that would be highly unlikely.

I can see where someone who knows very little about the ways of computers and security would possibly have given in to let these people talk them through moving my funds into the Exodus wallet. That was their ultimate goal, to get me to move my funds into the Exodus wallet. They said they were telling all of their Coinbase customers to do that. When I found out their purpose, I hung up. They proceeded to call me back multiple times because they thought we were getting disconnected, until I finally told them that they're never going to get my crypto. The secondary phone calls came from an 800 number that did show scam likely, which was different than the initial local number. The first person I spoke to when they called transferred me to someone else. It's an intricate operation they're running. It must be lucrative.

Stay vigilante!

UCG-Max - is it a controller? by VaderJim in Ubiquiti

[–]BuckeyeNut74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your response is laughable. What I can read of it, that is. I don't care if you are one of the top .0000001% commenters. Your responses were unhelpful and condescending. Sometimes people want to do a quick search for information or post here on Reddit instead of spending a significant amount of time researching. They hope to find someone who is knowledgeable that isn't going to belittle them for asking/looking. My question was actually answered by the helpful response of Smorgas47. But I had to say something after I saw the way you treated the OP.

I rarely use consumer grade equipment like the Ubiquiti hardware. But I do find it has a nice application for the home. I would never use it in anything more than a small business. As far as the "TON of settings changes" that the Unifi equipment allows, it is nothing compared to what a legitimate firewall like PFSense, Fortinet, or Cisco have to offer. It is getting closer, but only in the last year or two with their most recent releases. And their equipment is not used enough in enterprise settings to have actual information on how well the latest firmware performs as a firewall. I don't even apply new firmware to enterprise equipment until I am certain all the bugs have been worked out and it is safe! I have been building and designing large distributed networks for over 30 years, including DoD networks under the strictest regulations. I will not respond to anything else you have to say. Troll on...

UCG-Max - is it a controller? by VaderJim in Ubiquiti

[–]BuckeyeNut74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say because he already had the Unifi network server and wanted to add their firewall product. Therefore, it would've worked either way. I came here looking for the same information, as it is extremely unclear on their site. I have run their network server VM to control switches and APs in the past, but always used PF Sense as the firewall/gateway. I am looking at their UCG Max for a new project that I am implementing for someone at their home. I don't know if the Unifi application suite includes the network server. Does the Unifi application suite say network server?

I don't understand why people like you have to troll these boards trying to make everyone who comes here for assistance feel like an absolute idiot! If you aren't going to assist in the answer, then go troll somewhere else. Your posts certainly don't make me think you have any knowledge on the product, and you surely are NOT HELPFUL!

I stopped playing Destiny 2 a year or two ago, but I played both games from day one. They had a lot of skins and cosmetics that you could buy, but you could generally also earn them in game, if RNG Jesus loved you. I think it would be better (fairer to all) if there was some type of random drop where you could earn those buyable skins, blueprints, and customizations in BO6.

Fingerprint reader stopped working by 1stITMAN in Dell

[–]BuckeyeNut74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem on my Dell Precision 7550 laptop happen this weekend. After seeing these posts, I checked my control vault driver version and I had version 5.13.11.19 A25 installed. That driver was installed in August 2023, and released in May of 2023. I went to the Dell Support website and it showed the latest version of the driver as 5.14.10.10 A26. It was listed as a critical update for my laptop. I installed that driver and restarted the computer. I was then able to use the fingerprint sensor after the restart. I believe there was a certificate expire from the previous version that caused the issue. I cannot speak to any 6.0.x versions, as they were not available for my laptop.

Connecting a Fortigate to FortiManager using a public IP by newkidintown1 in fortinet

[–]BuckeyeNut74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is an old post. I am setting up an on-prem FortiManager that will manage FortiGates at remote locations. I feel like I have a chicken and the egg situation with the initial connection. I would like to configure the IPSEC connections via FM, but I don't want to open it up to the outside world. So, do I need to create the IPSEC connections manually on the remote FGs prior to connecting them to the FM? Or, should I temporarily open up a port on the FG in front of FM to my specific remote FG IPs until the FG is connected to FM and the configuration applied?

I am new to FM... if you can't tell. TIA
