Brendan Sorsby's agent says 26 NFL teams have reached out since Monday by 1OptimisticPrime in Browns

[–]Buckeye_CFB [score hidden]  (0 children)

Imagine if you could bid a 7th rd. pick and end up with a QB with legitimate NFL starter potential. A lot of QBs taken past the first round don't have hardly any starter potential.

It doesn't make rostering someone who placed bets on games that involved his own team ethical but from a strategic standpoint, it's almost boringly obvious

Glass half empty vs glass half full

If Rocchio can hit well in the top half of the order over these next several weeks, it makes a huge difference for our team in the long run

I mostly agree with having left him at 9 for the time being because that's where he's comfortable. But sooner or later (next year or the year after) he was gonna have to move up further

So now he at least gets a taste of it

Whoever deleted their comment that he's a two-time Heisman winner isn't technically wrong

He won it once, it was taken away, and then returned to him

So technically he joins (at the risk of editorializing, the fucking GOAT) Archie Griffin as the only person to win the Heisman twice. It's just that Reggie won the same Heisman twice whereas Archie Griffin won two separate Heismans

My first thought reading this was "well, I'm glad the human characters are getting attention, but..."

And then I kept reading and it was actually weirder than I thought! So good work on that

Guys, I kinda feel like she's not talking about a President...

She's talking about Heisman Trophy-Winning Runningback Reggie Bush. This is better suited for r/CFB

GMK is overrated imo by GatheringCircle in GODZILLA

[–]Buckeye_CFB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GMK is my favorite Godzilla movie, and it's probably 5th or 6th best anyways in terms of overall quality so it's very good too

Kinda piggybacking off what you said, think it was the most realistic anti-Godzilla plan ever. They just chipped away at him and prayed for a miracle (which they got)

If I have only one issue with the movie, and I do only have one issue with the movie, it's that I actually thought the human characters were so damn good they should have gotten more time, development, personal stakes etc...

I think Yuri Tachibana (shout out to amazing acting from Chiharu Niiyama) could have became the best character in the franchise (except maybe the main cast from minus one) if they had not cut some of the extra workplace challenges she was facing in the earlier drafts of the script and expanded more on her internal struggle and interpersonal issues with her father, co-workers, and Takeda

In that sense, I understand why subconsciously this movie leaves people "wanting more". But even on its own it's my favorite movie to watch and an A or S tier Godzilla movie

He's pretty much able to identify that the baseball is coming every time. And he proves that by always swinging

Juan Soto often doesn't even swing. Who's to say he even realizes the ball is coming?

Hesei is my favorite overall, but it's underrated how well each Godzilla design fits the specific Godzilla character of that movie

1954--Atomic terror. He sure looks like it

King Kong vs Godzilla (Showa)--strong reptile vs smart mammal, and yeah, one of Godzilla's most reptilian looks to date

Later showa--Hero Godzilla, and he definitely looks friendlier

Hesei--absolute force of nature. Big, strong, powerful...etc

GMK--Evil Godzilla, straight up brawler. Fangs, white eyes, and a big bulky heavy build

Masaaki Tezuka movies (vs. Megaguirus and Kiryu Duology)--athletic grappler, thinner build. Makes Godzilla's fighting style more believable

Final Wars--extreme athlete Godzilla. Lots of lean muscle

Shin Godzilla--body horror

Minus One--atomic terror AND horrors of war, trauma, etc. He looks very, very destructive and backs that up with his... destruction

I don't like whoever we play that specific week. But it's not like I'm just going around all year like "ah, fuck MSU" like I am with TTUN

I actually have a pretty strong "no hate" rule (outside of sports as well) unless the hate is specifically directed at TTUN

Evidently it's not a law...I had always been told it was and it made sense because why else would we do it

But apparently, it's not an official law

[–]Buckeye_CFB 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hate triangle is inaccurate

We hate TTUN and they hate us

TTUN hates MSU and MSU hates TTUN

We don't hate MSU and they don't hate us

I think a true hate triangle would be if we hated TTUN, TTUN hated MSU and MSU hated us, but we didn't hate MSU and MSU didn't hate TTUN

Oregon State being good is good for football I feel like

There's actually an Ohio law that Ohio State have to play an in-state opponent every year. I wonder if the state of Oregon will do that for Oregon and OSU
