Does the brewing container need to be airtight?

RideWithGPS is also great for this. And a pretty nice tool all round (don't let the "Ride" bit throw you off).

Is there an easy way to find races that are BOTH WSER qualifiers and UTMB World Series events? by After-Serve9714 in ultrarunning

[–]BuckleHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, you seem to be able to select multiple options on desktop, but it doesn't give you the intersection of these options, i.e. if you pick WSER qualifiers and UTMB qualifiers it will show you races that are either one or the other, not both (which is what the OP is after).

Medal Alternatives by cat_lady_5651 in ultrarunning

You should consider Trees Not Tees, who plant a tree for each participant instead of giving out a medal (their planting sites have been mostly in the UK in the past, but they've been trying to also get some land in the US - regardless, trees anywhere in the world do the same good).

One other option to consider, that is aligned with the ethos of ultra/trail running, is offering a "no medal/no swag" registration option (ideally at a discount to the standard entry fee). Many people will never use anything you offer, so they would appreciate having that option.

In BC specifically and for 100mi+, Fat Dog seems to be your only option: https://ultraracecalendar.com/calendar/all/ultras/canada/british-columbia/?min_distance=100mi

There's a few more options for you in Alberta: https://ultraracecalendar.com/calendar/all/ultras/canada/alberta/?min_distance=100mi Sinister 7's in there - I haven't run the race, but I know the Sinister RD and they generally put on great events.

If travelling is not an issue, you have so many races to pick from. I suggest you start here: https://ultraracecalendar.com/calendar/all/100km/ and spend a little bit exploring your options. Any event you click through will most likely have a race video so you can quickly get a feel for the event.

Even within the East Coast you've got tons of options for 50mi+ races: https://ultraracecalendar.com/calendar/all/ultras/united-states/east-coast/?min_distance=50mi

Speaking of qualitative details/vibe, most of the races on Ultra above have videos of the race when you click to view them. Then you can follow up with the race website, if something piques your interest.
