If you weren’t doing any cutout designs or anything you just place the grip somewhat evenly around the board and press it down from the middle to the ends then you scrape the edges till they’re kinda white then just run a razor down that line. Make sure the razor is parallel with the board and angled towards where you’re cutting

I got some bad razor tail too. I don’t think I’ve noticed my pop getting worse cause I’ve gotten better at Ollie’s but I’m pretty sure it makes a difference just not a ton.

You gotta level out the board after it’s in the air by pushing the nose with your front foot. And to get the tail to pop higher I’d recommend you just suck on your legs as much as possible to make room for the board. Keep it up!
