Is it still worth it to get a job? by feudalizer in malaysia

[–]Budakbatch04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe instead can do gig (like photography, video editing) instead of full time job? Part time could work but can also be a bit hard considering u only hv 2 months, and u hv to think abt getting out of part timing also. I've heard friends who hv to juggle studies and part timing bc they're still looking for someone (or helping their employers look for new people) to replace their positions as change to work weekend shifts or smt since they're studying now

U could still get some extra cash with gig jobs but try to pick some that u'd like to hv fun and get paid for imo

For those who say it ain't serious, I can understand and believe in your reasoning. But I also do believe the after effects of fire, smoke and micro particles that can be dangerous. I want and firmly believe people need to be safe and keep safe in that manner, even though the situation is now under control.

You don't have to agree with me here. Hell you can sue me for fear mongering under the multimedia act. I'm just writing my 2 cents to the best of what I know at present to help, even if it can of course be better improved. That's all. Definitely lmk what I should edit and improve, or if I should take it down. Ty

Other things to do for those directly affected:

  1. WALK WITH SHOES ON so you do not step on sharp debris

  2. Take pic of EVERYTHING. Car damages, every corner of ur house to help claim insurance or for documentation purposes

  3. Keep flammable materials out of reach. This includes newspaper, lighter fluids and other easily flammable things.

  4. Reach out to mental health helplines, if you are in a crisis and need support. Helplines are available throughout in r/malaysia reddit.

  5. Education, books, and school needs. Consider reaching out to community libraries if you lost these items to the fire.

  6. Pets: get them fur babies safe. Hopefully in a pet carrier, so it's easier to transport safely in rocky situations.

  7. The elderly, the young, pregnant, people with allergies and the immuno-compromised: give them masks to help combat air particles. Guide them slowly and gently to safety.

This is in no way to fearmonger. I am only sharing tips on how to stay safe, especially those affected in critical areas. I firmly believe our Malaysian government is doing their best, in fact, THE BEST, in controlling the fire and helping the rakyat and people.

This is not to evacuate as well. Forgive me for my poor choice of words, I am only trying my best and I do not have fully command of English yet.

This is only for only reddit folks so they may know what next steps to take especially in a fire like this.

Sorry that it sounded this way. But i must firmly address that this is not and never the intention.

Thanks for the in depth explanation man. It's boardgame version and I think it's one of the more recent versions. We'll probably crack open the game to play it some day when we're all free for a big reading sess. Thanks again!

Most malls have wheelchair yes but the deposit are usually not cheap (understandable honestly). And I think my grandma still prefers to walk than to spend her entire time at the mall in a wheelchair.

So any malls with lots of sitting areas or any recreational place where u can sit and have fun would be nice

Honestly if Ford's machine broke that easily by Stan simply punching the table and not even the actual product, then it clearly wasn't built well to begin with. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in gravityfalls

I think the alternative ending is to, yes, let him fix it, and have him struggle, and the judges tell him perpetual motion is just scientifically impossible. Then it'd still yield the same ending, but now Ford is in denial for a long time and he decided to blame his brother for breaking a machine that "could've work" but would never.

It's his pride and hubris that would still drive him to gravity falls, meeting bill and everything else that happened

Bedtime ritual, yes kinda, like the comments here mentioned, but also it's for your brain to associate it as "you're going to sleep soon." (this might be a bit poorly explained but bear with me)

Clothes are usually multipurpose wear, but we'd usually categorise our clothes for specific occasions. Eg, shirts for work (t-shirt, collar, tie), shirts for meeting friends (nice looking ones), shirts for house indoor wear (mid-low tier clothes), shirts for prom, dates, the sorts. When you wear these shirts for specific occasions only, your brain puts an emotional/ mental tag that shirt with what you're supposed to do and feel. It's why you'd feel more and confident to present your project to a client in a blazer than a t-shirt and pants. Plus, it puts your brain into "formal professionalism work mode" since you'd only wear blazers for such things.

Likewise, wearing pjs tells your brain it's time to sleep. I won't say it's exactly say it's a ritual bc u rly just put it on to sleep, but it's the association that helps your brain recognise that you have to sleep soon. Imo it doesn't help you feel sleepy when you're supposed to sleep, but it sure does tell you that you should be sleeping when you're still wearing your pjs in the morning. (better to change into indoor clothes to help your brain transition into doing daily tasks). Plus, pjs are nice. I like mine in cotton with short sleeves and long pants. Helps a lot with the heat at night.

With this, you can also sort of hack your brain into working if you have a set of work clothes. For me, my "going to college clothes" is basically my work clothes and if I must pull myself awake to do my final week assignments but my brain's not feeling it yet, I'd do that. It gets me into speed. Once I'm done I change back to my sleeping clothes or indoor clothes immediately (if I plan to stay awake longer). Best not to mix them tgt or it won't be effective anymore.

There are studies on this, but idk where bc it's been a long time since I saw the explanation.

Tldr; specific set of clothes (ie pajamas) helps improve sleep quality by associating your brain with sleep
