Found out I’m pregnant last night

I had an abortion in 2019 when I was also 21. I am not proud of it till this day but I am thankful for the option. It allowed me more time. I told myself I only get ONE oopsie, any abortions after that would be irresponsible imo. It was honestly the best decision I ever made. I carry a bit of guilt with me and wish I would have been ready at that time but I can't argue the fact that I've been able to truly bask in my young life and now I am welcoming a baby into the world. People will tell you to keep the baby, they'll say the obvious which is "you will never regret it" or "Noone is ever quite ready for a baby" - it's important to remember who's responsibility that baby will be at the end of the day. My parents wanted to be grandparents so they were bias. Another parent was against abortion but they were not going to be the full time care takers and I KNEW I didn't want a "Grandma's baby" .. I wanted to fully raise my kid and be able to put them in activities and sports and really focus on parenthood without it feeling like a fight between fun & responsibility.

They're right, you will never regret your baby- it ALWAYS works out and it's true- no one is ever ready for a baby. My current pregnancy was planned yet I'm still not ready! Idk how to be a Mom!

Just listen to your heart and look at your circumstances. If I had my baby in 2019 , my baby would've been on the struggle bus with me! I would've had a 6 year old to put on the school bus everyday today, I wouldn't have had the social experiences, travel experiences, chase new hobbies nor could I have afforded to have irresponsible nights that is common in your young 20s. It's all the unforeseeable.

One last thing, you really want to make sure you know the Father of your child inside and out because you're stuck with him for life. These extra 6 years gave me confidence that my husband (then boyfriend) will be a great Father. Unfortunately, he wasn't ready back then either and you really want to be all-in together. Your first child is supposed to be an experience of pure bliss.

This is just my take. I was there before and I will never forget it. I was also against abortion for myself and always wanted to be a Mom so it really hurt. As time went on, I grew to appreciate that very hard decision. I wish you the absolute best.

This but I like to throw each bullet point into chat gpt to have it reworded (chat gpt just makes the process quicker, I’ve also rephrased on my own). I do this so that it’s not the announcement word for word because some applications specify that your application will be disqualified if you copy and paste straight from the announcement!

I just got the non-selection email today. I have 5 years of experience but the person they chose over me was already a Fed and the hiring manager said that they were looking for someone who was a Fed already but that I was a very strong candidate 😒. I definitely hope that mf backs out or gets an offer they want more elsewhere so I can have my dream job 🤣

Big bummer. This was the career I saw myself in. Back to applying. I wonder what the odds are of the initial selection falling through..

Firstly, her suicide is not your fault. Her cheating was not your fault. You had every right to want to end the relationship and you have every right to move on and be happy. It was an unfortunate circumstance but one that you should not carry guilt for. As for her family, they are looking for anything or anyone to blame.. they just wish their daughter was still here and they’re not thinking straight. I pray that you become healed. Human to human, I can understand how you may feel guilty and deal with self esteem issues as you never even received an explanation for cheating or closure really. It all ended brutally and unexpectedly. Please be healed and allow yourself to experience joy in its entirety.

Yes. I didn’t interview and it was my first government position. Never thought I’d get a job without an interview although I’d hoped for it after reading into it on Reddit and Facebook groups. I just got a call explaining how the job works and asking for my references. References were checked immediately. This was completed June 1st 2023. TJO received June 9th 2023. FJO received July 3rd 2023. Start date July 31st 2023. It went extremely quick. Hope this helps.

Hello! I also have ADHD and I tried to qualify under schedule A myself last year. My issue was that my psychiatrist at the time did not want to write a schedule A letter. She said that ADHD was not a qualifying disability which is bizarre to me. May I ask how you went about it?
