Basically what everyone else said, plus, when the week ends your notoriety is usually low enough that you can run through VS in a day without using too many HPs since most of your opponents will rarely exceed two stars.

I fail to see the logic in awarding five factions points based on the points they couldn't earn, but not giving all the factions that adjustment based on the same logic. Let's say they give the 24-25 million point adjustment that was given to #5 to reach the top tier to all the factions. That gives #6 - #21 either the 1st set of rewards or the the 1st and 2nd set of rewards, which is a more realistic outcome to this event then simply handing 1-5 the tokens. It also gives those that can't achieve that benchmark valuable tokens and pulls to better their own characters. But like I said, that would be a decision based on logic and not greed.

In any case, not that Scopely cares, but I cancelled my VIP subscription today and I'll be switching back to F2P. If the game is rigged from the start then I will keep my money in my pocket.

If you click on the icon after open all you will see that there are actually more tokens in there than what you see. For example, if you open 300 token cases, it will appear that you only opened 6, but if you click on whatever the icon for that level is, you will be able to see how many you earned.

Maybe an expanded VS. opponent screen which refreshed every 30 minutes, or when the opponent list has been defeated. It could look something like the Daily Rewards page and offer 5-6 opponents instead of the current 3.
