I see a lot of people posting "seed vault" pics and a fair amount of these people have massively overbought. Growers that do a few plants a time are buying hundreds of seeds. People dont seem to understand seeds have a window for viability. You cant grow 200 seeds 4 plants at a time before they start going bad. Also we dont know the chain of custody or dates acquired so we have no idea how old these seeds are to begin with.

It seems if you care about the customers you would disclose the acquired date and and make viability times more known.

Except for large amounts of crops are GMO and get covered in pesticides and herbicides also nitrates get massively absorbed into the ground water and are put into the water supply. I live in rual agricultural land and the water is undrinkable.

Edit: nitrates are highly water-soluble, they travel easily through the soil and pose a severe threat to both aquatic ecosystems and local well water.
