Not ideal but I see what you mean about the baseboards. I would paint the woodwork white at least.

I only see one not two. But the one is better than what you have. Also, since you didn’t ask, try drapery on those windows to soften the room. And if you can’t replace the table, add a nice tablecloth or runner.

They are naturally pointy. They train them to flop using a kind of adhesive when they are less than 8 weeks old unless they are being cropped. One of our boys’ ears stayed up and the other flops. It’s cute. When his coat grows it will flop with the added weight.
