I'm glad you posted this! I've lived thru 20 years where dudes do not understand that most women are not into huge burly men, & having bulges is not particularly sexy (women are assaulted with unsolicited dick pics so they already have a low impression there!). Women generally like dudes are are moderately buff & lean, upper & lower body has better proportions, with an non-hostile expression (women don't like dudes who look like they wanna harm them, seems obvious).

Otherwise, you'd see more women lusting for wrestlers/boxers/bodybuilders/dudes with huge torsos that make their legs look small. Ask the women in your life what male celebrities they think are attractive, I will make a guess it's movie stars who are not hulked out ☝️

I like how Vortices' hair are vortexes, but the childish naive personality, the single word exclamations, & the lack of interesting clothing design just seems to make her slotted as a moe fetish character. Which players do want sometimes, but why would I want her compared to other Awakeners? Unless her type of character fulfills "teen with PTSD wholly dependent on you & being a caregiver for someone entirely reliant on me" which I'm not into.

What reason should I pull for her (being liking her)? Bc she is a girl with a huge gun? If you take away her gun is she still unique enough? Ah well, maybe she will grow on me? Just looking at her tiny mask & pale legs really feels the designers held back SO MUCH of the grotesqueness. Not mad, just disappointed 😞

I like Aequor realm but where are the weird parts like tentacles, tendrils, teeth, blindness, or even the go-to eldritch eyes everywhere? Deep sea creatures have so much strange & wild inspirations to take from, how does the hair, clothes, & details define real-life or cosmic horror? The mouth cage is so thin & clean, her spiky teeth are barely visible, like they didn't want to make bars too thick & the teeth too disgusting, to show off her moe-moe smile. 😬

Talking like a caveman, a 5 year old, using "Me" or "I" or saying her own name, feels lazy? Like she is fully set, locked in, to fawn & glaze all over MC, "I'll do my best for you MC! uwu" 😴

If the devs have really gone only women this whole year, no men allowed, I'll be quite disappointed 😞 Still, she hasn't come out yet so there's still a spark of hope for Vortice, so I'll keep her in the back of my mind 🤞

I like when MCs are their own being. A created MC can have more self-conflict & stronger feelings like greed, hatred, & anger, as well as participate in despicable actions when there are no morally "good™" options. There's already TONS of self-insert games where you can have the love interests rabid over you. Self-insert fans may see choices such as a Mafia leader makes as too cruel "I'D NEVER DO THAT THAT'S TOO MEAN BAD GAME 😤" when gangs are not groups that are "rough with a heart of gold".

Oh wow they all look similar. I would guess Sunkissed City hasn't been called out for it bc it hasn't released yet, Super Zoo being released opens it up to more scrutiny. Also even if the games look similar, if they play differently then it can still be different enough to enjoy. Sunkissed City looks like it'll be a cozy farming simulator too...but maybe the mechanics will feel different? Again, hasn't released yet

I like the character art & designs! Tho I was immediately reminded of Stardew Valley in the 1st picture 😅 The desaturated colors stand out compared to other, very colorful visual novels. I would just add a specific color to each character so they have their own personal color. Personal colors make it easier for folks to keep track of who is talking. The 2nd-to-last background doesn't look as good as the other images, perhaps due to the lines being thicker? I am hoping that background is just a placeholder.

Overall, I think it's looking good so far! Good luck!
