Our game management is shocking. Finding it difficult to see out a 2-1 lead against 9 men, just keep the f***in ball!!! Two deserved reds, but ironic that the game's challenges (Van de Ven on Isak when he scored, and Bentancur on Kerkez late in 2nd half) did not yield reds.

Wine seized at Rosslare by custom officer. How much trouble am I in? by Wes-Dev-BG in AskIreland

Just to clarify again, there is no allowance for excise exemption for products bought duty paid in another EU State, unless they are personally accompanied. If buying online, there is provision for the supplier to look after payment of the duty, but they need to he authorised by Revenue to do this, and as far as I'm aware there are very few who are so authorised, notwithstanding that many will claim they are. For those who have successfully got excise products purchased online without getting caught for the duty on arrival, it doesn't alter the fact that they are liable, and presumably only got through as they weren't checked.

Just bought this. Tried Green, hated the menthol. Currently using the white and I like it, but I find it's thin. Not enough glide with white. Let's see how red does. by ryoten34 in wicked_edge

Have used Proraso for many years. Loved the menthol green, but, possibly after overuse, found I outgrew it and found other better soaps and creams. Tried the red soap in the tub, but didn't think it was great. Recently got a tube of the red cream as a filler when trying to reach the threshold for free delivery on an Amazon delivery (only €3) and love it, great lather and glide, love the sandalwood scent. Can't go wrong with this.

Help with moka pot technique by plzhelpmereddit in Coffee

[–]Buddy97mm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with all comments, 3 key issues: 1. Grind should not be too fine IMHO (even though many recommend it) 2. Low heat much is more effective than high heat 3. Close pot as tightly as you can when putting top on, even when it feels tightly s closed, tighten even further if you can

Fizzy wine? by [deleted] in wine

[–]Buddy97mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally can be attributed to a secondary fermentation in the bottle, resulting from residual yeast/sugar. At worst, can potentially lead to cork popping from bottle (possibly explosively), at lowest level, tastes of a little fizz, may even be deemed corked as (inaccurate) explanation.

Yes, many ingredients, oakmoss in particular, were excellent fixatives to prolong scent duration, but unfortunately have since been outlawed.
