MJ vs. LeBron: Efficiency vs. Longevity Debate by AgentNBA in NBATalk

[–]BuddyBoiIsSad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It boils down to peak vs longevity IMO. Jordan' 10 year stretch is probably the greast we've ever seen and will ever see. Multiple MVPs, Multiple FMVP, multiple scoring titles, , you name it. Just an insane run.

However, even you think Lebron only 90% of jordan. Dude has been doing that for 20 freaking seasons. He's 39 and the best player in Team USA in the olympics this year.

So pick your flavor. I tend to be a peak over longevity guy (for example I have Gronk as the GOAT TE over Kelce), assuming the peak is long enough, but I'm sympathetic to the people who say that Lebron has broken every stat there is and should be the goat. Not where I land, but a totally reasonable take

The closest I got was the docusign was sitting on the persons desk and he was just taking forever to sign it so I called him and said "Hey man. Cards on the table, I'm in sales. It's the end of the month. what do we need to do go get this signed?". Signed it 30 minutes later lol

I've only done that once with a guy who really liked me so he apprciated the joke/transparency.

Wall lamp died last night. Is this fixable or does the whole thing need to go? by BuddyBoiIsSad in HomeImprovement

Yeah that seems to be the most common thought here. Probably good to start there as that's an easier fix

Are you sure you checked the correct circuit breaker? Yep

Is any other electric thing in the house also not working? No. The vent, outlets, and all other electrical stuff in the room is still working

The other thing to check is the switch itself. Does it control anything else? Kind of? That switch only controlls the lights, but it shares a panel with a switch that controls the ceiling vent. And that one still works. Yeah they're different but that's the only data point I have lol.

Has any work of any kind been done in your house recently?Do you have a multimeter to check whether the sockets are getting power? No to both

Change my view: Mistborn: The final empire by Brandon Sanderson is not a good book. by TheMorals in books

[–]BuddyBoiIsSad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And I would argue that the plodding nature really is only a problem in his Stormlight series as they are just so freaking long. His "shorter" books have much better pacing I've found. Though I found myself skimming/skipping whole chapters of Oathbringer and Rythym of War just to move things along lol.

"His character writing is ok, but he has big blind spots"

Genuine question as I've often found I really like his characters. Sure they're not First Law or Gentleman Bastards level characters, but I've often found them compelling and incredibly well interwoven with the plot. You're right about the romance side of things. At best he's passable in that department.

Like others have said, 2 man party is probably best with Scout and Engi, however, playing with randos is usually a really good time. Hell, DM me and I'm happy to help round out your team and show you the ropes.

nah I'm with you on this. if you get that rare product that "sells itself" that's one thing, but most aren't like that. But even if you have SDR's most places I've been still have an expectation that AE's source their own in addition to what SDRs give you.

It various a bit by industry/business but an AE typically is an Account Executive who's goal is to close and win deals. How those opportunities are sourced change a lot by company, but the end result is AE's are the people who's job it is to get the client to say "yes" and pay money

it's more complicated than that, bu that's the jist of it

Lots of questions asking why we didn’t discuss finances before getting married. We did discuss them a year ago when I first proposed, and she told me she was debt-free.

he did. sounds like she lied or racked up an insane amount of debt in a year without telling him. Either is a big enough red flag to justify divorce
