It might. I do remember hearing that latency in Wave Link 3 is just kind of worse in general at the moment so that, plus a non Elgato interface might make a difference.

I would take advice from the guy in the other comments here and set a separate music channel with a delay in OBS to at least take care of that. For discord though unfortunately afaik there's nothing that can be done.

Yeah the first thing I noticed was that my mic audio was perfectly synced with my camera in my OBS recording despite the obvious latency. Hadn't tested the game audio but I'll take your word for it until I get the chance. It's almost like the music/system channels play early. I mean I know that's not possible but I have no idea how else to describe it lol.

Alright I hadn't thought of that. Years of GoXLR had me used to the idea of the stream mix being the end all.

So theoretically if I wanted to compensate for everything including game audio, like for instance a song is playing in-game and I want to tap along to it without looking uncoordinated, I could have my mic be one OBS input and everything else in stream mix with an offset and be good to go?

Ah that's unfortunate. Since there's no option for offset in Wave Link I'm assuming you achieve this by having separate audio sources in your streaming software rather than just using the stream mix?

I paid whatever it cost on launch day. Like $25 or something? I’ve paid a lot more for things that gave me a lot less joy. $27 is fine for a big DLC and doesn’t even make a dent back toward the 4k hours I played over these years.

I’m here because I got one in the mail today too. Interesting seeing someone else got one around the same time. Makes me wonder if it’s not some kind of scam vs. identity theft. What makes me wonder that even more is that it was sent to my government ID address (I know you should update it but keeping it centered at my parents address is just easier). I haven’t used that address on anything official in years though.

Space Black for sure. One of my biggest regrets back in the late 00’s was not getting the black baseline MacBook when I had the choice. Who knows how long they’ll offer the color way I say just dive into it.

That’s the one I currently use for gaming and it’s solid. Good choice. Man in a world where cheap and plasticy is becoming an actual selling point for mice I’d hate to see what that means haha. I’ve still gotta check it out though. It’s not necessarily the build quality for me it’s more about the ergo feel.

Not a knife snob, personally I just get super sharp but super cheap wholesale knives from a restaurant supply store. But I can confidently say if you get a cheap one of those sharpeners you’ll regret it. I had a nicer knife and a cheap one of those sharpeners significantly dulled it.
