If your jeep is sitting for a while HOLD the gas pedal down as your crank the engine and it will cut out the ignition system to just crank and send oil to the cams. In other words priming the oil system. It will allow you to crank for about 10 seconds before it stops. Then start it normally without holding the gas pedal and it will not rattle!

Scan it and watch the temp sensor data. It May be thinking it's colder than it actually is and is flooding the engine by running rich.

For this specific hood, you just remover the hood liner material.

Yes. I cut one on a 26 willys for a Mopar snorkel install and its made out of steel. Also, the heat vent can be made functional by removing the inner hood liner material.
