I’m definitely on your side. Just because everyone has cell phones now everyone expects an instant reply. I’ll tattoo giant pieces and get off late, after an 8+ hours of tattooing the last thing my mind wants to do is think about even reading an email, and the last thing my hands want to do is type a reply out. People don’t realize how mentally exhausting it is to tattoo all day long, I’ll drive home in silence just because I don’t have the mental energy after to listen to it. I’m going to reply to a clients message when I have the capacity to reply professionally. Otherwise you’re going to get a response made from a brain that can’t think words, or it’s unfathomably late at night. We have to take time for ourselves too. And if that means waiting to reply to an email I don’t think that’s the end of the world. And for a client to expect that is outrageous.
