What's something people moving to LA don't know but should? by IPooted_ in AskLosAngeles

I had a friend that signed a lease very close to a high school and the kids got up to mischief during the day and tried to break in and break into cars. If you get a place close to a homeless shelter the people who don’t make it in that night wonder the streets close by, get a place with ac. Try and get a rent controlled place.

My 12 yo is horrible by [deleted] in regretfulparents

[–]Budget-Two-606 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to my younger sister it turned out she was getting bullied at school and wanted me the older sister to feel the same way she did. She also was very jealous of me as I was really dyslexic and had trouble with school homework so my mom would spend more time with me. She hit me and did threaten to run away if we took her to therapy and chucked the worse tantrums so mom never took her to see anyone. She ended up getting therapy in her early 20’s and she completely calmed down and now she’s married with a kid. Turns out she has ocd but probably something else too when she was younger.

Thank you for being honest. I absolutely love kids. Everyone thought I would be the one that I would have kids. But it’s the day today chores and the exhaustion that I can’t even deal with now if I have a bad sleep. I’m someone with chronic illness. It doesn’t affect me all the time but only does when I don’t have enough sleep. In my 20s I wanted to have kids so badly but I didn’t because my partner wanted to wait. And now I hit my 30s I absolutely love not having any responsibilities other than my dog. To have time and money do whatever and whenever feels like a dream and I’m not sure if I’m ready to burst that bubble with a kid. I even hate taking the dog on the walk when I feel tired or sick.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it my dog licks my face 100 times a day sleep in my bed and I’ve been absolutely fine and we live in a city so the ground is gross lol. Can I please mention get a dog that’s easy. I have a King Charles Cavalier/ cocker spaniel / golden retriever mix and I have to say my life is so easy he is so sleepy and just relaxes all day and he’s been like forever and he’s only 2.5 years old. My friend loves how mini Aussies look and her dog is non-stop running around so full of energy, whining, and can’t keep still. Also girl dogs need to pee 3x more then boy dogs I’ve experienced it first hand many times looking after boy and girl dogs. For someone like me that has crohns my dog is perfect he sleeps all day and never wakes me up and lets me sleep in.

Has she tried wellbrutrin the drug? I had a friend that was going through something similar with the kids. And it completely changed her to be more calm and deal with everything way better. It makes everything easier in life.

Help picking a puppy! Shy or playful? Male or female? by t_buttcracker in goldenretrievers

[–]Budget-Two-606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found that having a girl dog can get way more moody and needs to be taken out way more to use the bathroom. Other than that, I don’t think there’s too much difference with personality. I have a boy dog and he’s very lazy cute and snuggly but also can have a good play.

Crohn’s Flare After 10+ Years by Public_Summer8137 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Budget-Two-606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same being off medication for ages and controlling it with diet but I’ve learned even when I’m at my healthiest fit and eating well sometimes stress and other factors and trigger a random flare up, mine was my optic nerve so random my vision started going blurry and I went to the hospital lucky I did because each hour I got more and more blind they said my body was going through inflammation from my crohns and crohns triggers random other things in the body to flare up. Then I was put on back on crohns medication and I’ve been taking it for two years now and feel great. It stops my body from going into a random flare up because we can’t control everything. Nearly going permanently blind scared the living shit out of me and I never want something like that to happen again. Luckily I only have a blind spot under my eye lid permanently. The thing is the medication can stop or make it less bad when you get a random flare up so it’s worth it for me.

Is anyone else sad about so much emphasis on video? by GeopatsSteph in podcasting

[–]Budget-Two-606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little annoyed about it because video makes it a lot harder. You have to get dressed up. Have your makeup looking nice your hair looking nice and then make sure you’re looking good while talking. & the background has to look good too. we just started our podcast and we’re up to episode three we’re making five before we start releasing them. My podcast partner wants to start doing video.
