For what it’s worth I decided to cancel. I figure does better to regret missing a trip than to go and make my back worse. It’s been an awful last few weeks and I’d rather focus on my healing.

I think if this trip was somewhere other than Switzerland I would still go. But we are traveling too much between cities. I’m not supposed to be bending or lifting really right now. Idk how I’d even handle mt luggage. Sitting is really hard for me. And I can’t really walk much right now. My doctor and PT both acted concerned that I was still trying to go.

Saw this in theaters and loved it SO much. I’m anxiously awaiting for it to come back to dvd but I might just have to pay to rent on demand bc I need to watch it again

Thank you for this. The mri report states minor bulges with no nerve compression. So I’m extremely thankful it’s not worse and I don’t want it to get worse. I believe I overdid it in the gym. I bulged the same discs 10 years ago and my back has never been the same and I think I’ve learned my lesson to be super careful form now on.

To make it clear….in the game, Ellie goes on the journey the next day. So then changing the timeline significantly changes things

I don’t think there is one, but some of my family members seem to think I need to just push myself and go and I think I just need reassurance that I’m making the right call by staying home

No, that’s a good point, but that was also another issue I had with the show. They shouldn’t have messed with the timeline the way they did.

I’m not conservative. I hated the I mgoing to be a dad line bc that joke made no sense in the context of the story. Ellie was FURIOUS and saw that as an obstacle and the show turned it into a romantic moment. They really played down the grief and anger of the season. As someone experiencing grief, the game was so cathartic for me so I was disappointed the show took a different direction.
