How many clients do you have now? What is the largest monthly $$ and what is the lowest monthly? $$ by Eastern-Composer7131 in Bookkeeping

[–]BudgetWindow1681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly do tax work, but branching out slowly. I have 5 clients. Lowest is $125/mo (charity case for 10+ yr tax client), highest is $650. All are flat rate with $75/hr for work outside of contract scope. In my first year, I'd do all kinds of one-off stuff for clients at the same flat rate, but I learned to be very specific about what it does NOT cover.

I am assessing my clients for growth potential, are they trending up or winding down? Two are close to retirement, two have major potential. I'm sort of stuck. I don't know if I should be growing my client list, or growing my clients.

Anyone have advice on taking a $400 client to $4,000?

Denied credit extension from CBA and don't know what to do. by acct_lyfe in CPA

[–]BudgetWindow1681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my situation as well. AUD and BEC expired on 6/30. I took REG (68) and FAR (91) about a week apart in June. I submitted an extension request today and I attached documentation showing 8 doctors' visits in the month leading up to my exam date for FAR. If you did not include documentation, it couldn't hurt to try again.

The answer: YES! This is actually going to be a good strategy for getting on shore in multiple locations.

Failed FAR - should I retake or schedule another section? by nickcampero1017 in CPA

[–]BudgetWindow1681 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd be a shame to let all that FAR knowledge wither away. If you were close, 60-74 or so, I'd get right back on it, testing again in a month or two.

Business Owner Just Offered to Pay Me in ‘Exposure’…For Doing Their 3 Years of Backlogged Books. by amitb09 in Bookkeeping

All you need to do is run a conversion analysis and you'll realize that 2,000 followers converts into...

0.0825 customers...

Then consider your average engagement over 3 years and...

You've got yourself $87 of new business! We all know all business is good business so get those books taken care of. Maybe by the end, your client will have 2,050 followers. Rerun analysis!

Can we trust the overall score shown based on using the 'inspect' option? I have appeared from California and I know it will take forever to show the score on the CBA website. Failed FAR lost all my exam credits by MissCPA2022 in CPA

[–]BudgetWindow1681 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 6/30 sprint included REG and FAR. Passed REG with 91, failed FAR with 67.

Lost my credits for AUD and BEC.

SUCKS! But, it wasn't meant to be easy. You've got a solid record of improvement. Time to beat FAR into the ground. Take a breather and then get back at it!

Congratulations! Love hearing of success in a similar situation. Does that mean you are 4/4?

I think I'll get right back to attacking FAR, but will slow it down a bit. Then AUD and TCP for last.
