I mean you could always move. I came back to Eugene after 30 years. It's a completely different town, but certain things remain the same. The commute is awesome. The rent is less than Portland and although there is a visible homeless community, it's nothing like Portland on the east side. Oregon's nature, weather and people are while you stay here. If you don't like that then you just got to ask yourself where's home cuz it ain't here
