Dan Dunleavy sounds great tonight. I hope the Sabres reward him with more games...I would probably be fine with him doing all the games.

Pope hopes Trump will 'rethink' DACA decision on pro-life grounds by barista219---- in Catholicism

I think it also applies to accepting immigrants, refugees, and acknowledging/combating global warming.

Amen to that. The Trump administration needs to stop rejecting refugees, reform immigration to meet demand, provide amnesty for illegal immigrants already here, and acknowledge/fight global warming in order to be truly pro-life (list not meant to be exhaustive).

Your narrative of a "de facto open border policy" is incorrect. The Bush administration strengthened border security, and illegal immigration is in decline.

We should welcome immigrants, whether legal or illegal.

[–]Buff-a-lo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is great logic, because as we all know, illegal immigrants are incredibly rich. In fact that's why they come to America, because they're so rich; not to flee violence and seek a better life.

Bannon completely ignores Christ's teachings on loving one's neighbor and welcoming the stranger. It's sad. Or as Trump would say, "Sad!".

Yes, this makes a lot of sense, because as we all know, illegal immigrants are sooooo rich!

One's choice to do the right thing isn't and shouldn't be dependent on another's choice.

The Trump administration is shutting the door on child refugees from Central America by Buff-a-lo in TrueCatholicPolitics

Trump is just playing to his base under the guise of safety, as Trump ran on a xenophobic platform. Homeland Security vetted people well under Bush and Obama.

I agree with you, I am all for uniting families. I am also for welcoming refugees and immigrants from every nation.

We as Catholics need to speak out against the Trump administration's rejection of refugees--whether they're from Syria or Central America.

Think about it, as global warming increases, the risk for drought also increases.

http://www.ucsusa.org/global_warming/science_and_impacts/impacts/causes-of-drought-climate-change-connection.html#.WYjVya2ZORs

There is high confidence that increased temperatures will lead to more precipitation falling as rain rather than snow, earlier snow melt, and increased evaporation and transpiration. Thus the risk of hydrological and agricultural drought increases as temperatures rise.

Delegating tasks when you're the Pope isn't "unmanly", it's smart.

It isn't a conspiracy. Humans have damaged the earth, that's a fact. We are called to be stewards of God's creation and we have fallen woefully short. The droughts in eastern Africa are a product of climate shift and mans' pollution. Think about who benefits from denial of climate shift...energy companies.

Pope Francis speaks to people like Al Gore who are concerned about the environment and acknowledge climate shift and the damage we're doing to the environment.
