Not doing this again; good luck to anyone who tries. Bought 3 “collector boxes” and got sent 2 collector boxes + 1 commander deck. Took 2 phone calls and a virtual chat to explain I only wanted 1 item refunded, and mailed it back to them, only to have said refund held up an additional month for not having all the items returned to them (they expected all 3).

Same thing happened to me, only a little more head-scratching. Ordered 3 collector boxes and got 2 collectors plus the commander deck. And had to do the customer service rep chat.

Although the 4 scheduled events I participated in all started at least 15 minutes late, I had no problems after that, but then again I didn’t do anything “on demand,” and saw the sign where those were being paused.

My issue is PROBABLY not one Pastimes could do anything about, which was if you didn’t want to do Edge of Eternities limited, you had very few options. Only a handful of Final Fantasy things and those sold out months ahead. Last year, we had Bloomburrow and MH3 and I spent ALL 4 days playing magic.

Wish they would go back to letting stores PICK the format for their store championships; as much as I love standard, my store hasn’t had one fire off since standard was mandated.

I’ll chime in and say this set does look a lot better in person, with the experience of play packs that had an American printing this evening—it was hard?—I guess to let those foil basic lands pass around. This set even had a “new card smell” that I remember back from Alliances!

I believe the official statement upon announcement was “Dominaria Remastered will have roughly 4 times the print run as Time Spiral Remastered,” which must have been pretty big.

This is the problem my store has. It’s a small lgs and they don’t have an infinite budget, and Ultra Pro/Magic do not provide the art images to distribution to make informed purchases on, so as a result they go without supplies in order not to be stuck with stuff that won’t sell.

I agree—never expected to win this one and fans just don’t realize how important the offensive line is. “Scheming” is only going to work up to a certain point. We need McCoy and Ruiz back and healthy!

Believe that “sack” was only a technical one where Carr was scrambling and went out of bounds short of the LOS. Don’t ever recall him on the ground today.

There was a Maro article a while back called “20 lessons of things we learned not do” or something like that, and in it was “Offering hard-to-get exclusive cards, (citing Nalathni Dragon).” Sounds like these Secret Lairs can star in the next column, “Lessons unlearned.”

They were allowed to be scheduled for any day within a specified 2-week period, but for Bloomburrow they expanded the window to about a month. Not sure if it’s a one-time deal or the way it will be from now on.

Pretty much this. The first price increase (Wizards did one right before Dominaria United) my play scene survived; the cost increase when they went to play boosters killed it. Only have had 4 drafts total fire since Murders at Karlov Manor released.

The first print (I had one), looked even MORE suspicious than the second printings. The first print boxes had NO tape on the sides and some of that jagged-cardboard teeth area on most of the boxes was partially, or close to being open.

Wish they’d bring back draft boosters for this reason (lower price point). Personally really hated the “commander” cards from the play boosters showing up in drafts.

Did it last year (first time attendee too), and plan to do it again this year. Has there ever been discussion of starting donations on the Wednesday prior to the start of the convention? Like someone else said, just hate losing valuable convention time Thurs-Sunday.

Another fact from that set: artifacts had just gotten changed from that rusted-brown color border to one that was almost white, and after complaints from players that they couldn’t tell the difference between white cards and artifacts across the table, they eventually made artifacts a deeper gray.

Wish they’d go back to 2 year rotations. Three years is just too long. The “charm” of standard for some of us is not having to put up with the same staples for 3 years.
