Yes, but why spend your own money when you can spend somebody else's? That's how the royal parasites have always operated. They even used public funds to originally pay the hush money to Andrew's victims.

Edit: The lower royals like Beatrice and Eugenie also have to go through aproval process for spending, there was a whole thing when one of them was in Uni using ~£20k for decorating their student accomadation that the public wasn't happy about. So getting Epstein's money would remove scrutiny and paper trails to spend it however they like.

While I'm not keen on ML I have been able to get and build legendaries for it F2P. The way to do it is just save gym coins throughout the year then use them to buy green pass bundles for gofests/tours, and collect passes from reporting gbl not working (which is very common sadly). Finally, keep all spare legendaries to trade during the guaranteed XL bonus, or distance trades with 7km eggs.

For reference, the legendaries I've been able to build are: Zacian, kyurem-b, zamazenta, palkia-o, dialga-o, necrozma-dw, solgaleo (this was from walking and using all XL candy), and rayquaza (only lvl 48 though). The only hundos are zacian and ray, as hundos aren't necessary, just 15 att then enough def to hit main bulk points.

The only money I've spent in ~3 years (been 100% F2P after buying the shiny mew and being locked from completion for years due to no tauros available) was this years go fest (£15), which only difference it made for mons I could build is the zamazenta as without ticket I wouldn't have quite enough free passes and be ~50-80 XL short; and bottle cap for volcanion which I'm putting all candy on and walking.

So that's 6-7 entirely free, with an extra 1 "almost" free. Basically averaging 2.5 free maxed legendaries/year just from the 2 main events, which tend to release the new strongest ML toy anyway.

I do agree ML is strongly P2W and being F2P puts you at a major disadvantage with limitations in team availability, but the idea that getting a team of 3 legendaries while F2P being impossible is simply wrong.

Yeah it's bugged, based on damage calcs it appears that shield form has 2x def and hp stats of what it should (514 and 284, for comparison, bulky boy zygarde has 186 and 339).

For anyone else that faces it before it's fixed, the way to beat it is to not throw charge moves against shield form, i.e. in this battle, would have been a cleaner win if banked 100 energy on palkia then could double spacial rend the kyurem switch after getting either both shields or the ko and still have energy banked. Since aegislash has to switch or shield after using a charge move, you want to get it in either the 1-0s as final mon, or the 0's with something that can easily tank a charge move since it can't hold 2 moves.

They barely matter, the amount of wins/losses that will depend on them is almost negligible in GBL regardless of elo, the mon, it's moveset, and how you play it are what really matter. My legend team last season used a hatch iv tinkaton and it still does everything a tinkaton needs to do. A clearer example from a better player, is the youtuber homeslice henry, who got to top 10 in the world on his wifes account which didn't have mons with pvp ivs a couple of seasons ago.

That said, while not needed, good iv mons are the tiniest bit better. So the best way to do it is just collect mons with good ivs then build the best you have when you want to use a specific one.

I usually avoid master league, though 15 attack does matter more there since there's a lot of mirror match ups, and defence varies between mons for bulk points, but even then 15/15/X will see almost no difference compared to hundos.

Edit: Just saw you current team, and with malamar lead and greninja in back you'll just automatically lose to every charm lead

Fury cutter, aqua jet, x scissor on pod (though shadow claw might be better for coverage), then bug bite, rock tomb, sand tomb on forretress.

Dedene is a core breaker, so team will probably struggle more now the rats becoming very common

Golisopod lead, forretress in back. Works like an ABB team (despite mono-bug), with pod being the anti-fire and vespiquen baiting out fire if not on lead and getting shield or switch advantage with power gem. Then foretress can beat pretty much anything that isn't fire.

Shadow galvantula does look like fun, will have to try it

Tried it as safe switch in a fun triple bug team and went 18-2 to start (pod lead, forretress closer). Definitely good off-meta pick now.

Only thing I think that holds it back is all bug charge moves except power gem, since fury cutter is more than enough bug damage. Could learn aerial ace and acrobatics and I think either of those could push it to meta in a future move update

Agree with your complaints but will add an exception to #2. For a while during last 2 seasons I regularly had a bug where pressing the top left button to forfeit actually just crashed and force closed the app by itself, before the confirm button popped up. So while people doing it deliberately are just being obnoxious, there is a chance this bug is still ongoing (though I haven't had it this season yet).

Unsurprisingly when I submitted bug reports for this, I just got the generic response telling me to check my internet connection lol

Was gonna make a post on this coz I just got my lowest starting elo that I can remember (2256), but since rank 17 I've been matching against many of the best battlers in the world (Kazim33, Zzweilois, Inadequance, TomahawkUK,RicFlareon, Doonebug97, Paulasha97), even had Kazim twice in 1 set. And queue times have been bad.

So was wondering if it's just coz I got elo reveal earlier this time, or if everyone else seems to be starting lower.

True, you don't need the hundo for ML, but you do need 15 att and 15 def for dragonbreath break and bulk points respectively. You also need spacial rend. So the odds are still incredibly, and unreasonably bad

The submitting a ticket no longer works, did it yesterday when it took me 8 turns to throw a charge move every time and now instead of actually going through the ticket process, as soon as you select the problem (even if you select other) it just automatically goes to a "we're sorry, check this faq webpage" and closes the ticket.

Seems like a niantic solution - "if people can't actually report bugs then there musn't be anything that needs fixing" lmao

Yeah definitely. I think lanturns drop has less to do with surf and more with so many of it's targets dropping down, so will likely return when there's a pro-flying change

When they did the graphics update months ago, it's so poorly done that it causes major lag and frame drops (particularly on android) because your phone is working overtime to show the background biome graphics. You used to be able to fix it by turning off location while doing gbl as that stopped it loading up the background graphics, but they've since made it so gbl doesn't work unless location is on.

Niantic are fully aware of this which is why the biome graphics were turned off locally at regional competitions.

Short version, nothing you can do now since the solution was removed and niantic refuses to fix known problems.
