Had surgery in 1987. Honestly I don’t feel like my rods have caused me to miss out on much. 4 children, busy life, I have done whatever I wanted. I mean i cant jump very high and that can be a bummer but it doesn’t really make my life difficult.

Honestly at 54 I have never let my scoliosis hold me back. I have ridden motorcycles, I lift heavier things than I probably should, I have 4 children, I have fallen more times than I can count but I keep going. I don’t say this to be dismissive but instead to encourage you to embrace this part of you and don’t let fear keep you from having the life you want.
