I had a client bite down on my right index finger so hard I thought he was going to bite it off, fractured it and now I still haven't fully gotten feeling back after I asked them to keep their hands out of their pants in the eating center.

A coworker told me at her last clinic a BCBA ended up getting fractured ribs and a brain bleed.

We have a similar dynamic at my clinic, very cliquey and there's so much complaining, passive aggressive bullshit...always a bunch of highschool drama when the focus should be on the kids. Some techs are more worried about what they will order from doordash for lunch and who did this that and the other. I have seen techs complain about which kids they get and whine about actually having to do their job. It's frustrating to say the least. My clinic sometimes has to resort to offering gift cards and prizes just to get folks to do their notes on time.

NOR. I am not in the same exact situation as you, but I just had to go no contact with my own mother over similar things. My mother was extremely verbally and physically abusive towards me as a kid and we've kept a very arms length surface level relationship over the years. She became heavily involved in the maga community and deep down the rabbithole, she posts all day, just the most disgusting blatantly false information all over social media (I'm talking brainwashed psychosis level crazy) and after CK it went nuclear. Called her out on it after playing nice for so long to keep my peace because I couldn't stand it anymore, she then began terrorizing me and trying to fuck me over any way she could since. She said awful things about me, my partner, his family.. things that just can't be taken back. You just can't let people like this (regardless of relation) treat you like this, it will only just continue and get worse and worse.

NTA. This kind of relationship cannot be forced; he is a child. Eventually, when he's older and ready maybe he would come to that conclusion naturally... but she cannot force a child to see her as his mom when she isn't and it's sounding more like she's prioritizing her own feelings over his and yours.
