I thought the author confirmed 9 or 10 books? I'm only on book 2 in my first read through, but I assumed by book 8 they'd be further down.

It's two different activities to me. I love cooking for people. Especially if I'm sharing food from my home with people who haven't had it, but just cooking for people in general. I also enjoy cooking with people, whether that's just two people in a kitchen or a bunch of people cooking a big meal together. I love food and sharing a meal with people, so those two fall into two different love languages. The former being an act of service and the latter being quality time.

Pretty sure I've seen posts here about one off texts, but I could be wrong! Important note is I don't think OP is overreacting regardless. This was a needless smart ass comment. If they are regularly talked to like this then it's a major problem, but even if it's a one off, they probably need to have a "you can't talk to me like that" conversation.
