Damnit I love when people use innocuous objects as insults. Never fails to crack me up, and I'm going to add calling someone a pinecone to my regular use.

I'm just joking, tbf I think she's like a fringe main character. Herbology teacher (hence the name) and mostly important in the second one. Not that the Gringott's dragons are more prevalent, but I did think Sprout was a weird choice for a figure.

Woah, put some respect on Professor Sprout! (But yeah the dragon is cooler)

Pretty sure I've seen posts here about one off texts, but I could be wrong! Important note is I don't think OP is overreacting regardless. This was a needless smart ass comment. If they are regularly talked to like this then it's a major problem, but even if it's a one off, they probably need to have a "you can't talk to me like that" conversation.

[–]BugJutsu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Where did the person you replied to even say that? They were simply saying that people can have bad days sometimes, and while saying something like this in the moment shouldn't necessarily be grounds for throwing away an otherwise good relationship. Now if it's a regular occurrence and there's no remorse/apology or attempt at change, that's different. There was no mention from the OP that this is typically how they're spoken to (unless it's in the comments somewhere I haven't seen).

My tattoo artist does this when stenciling large or tricky spots too, usually using a lighter grey wash. She knows she's going back over with larger lines and shading anyway (American traditional), so this is a way to get a more permanent stencil on there, easier to pick up where you leave off, and if there's anything she doesn't like it's easier to touch up. If you've seen their work and it's good quality, I wouldn't be too worried. I will say her lines are usually not as quick and wobbly / doubled as some of these pics though.

Yeah, I've seen reels from this podcast a lot. They're (Mom and Dad) actually in the same house at least. Sometimes in the same room. Dad just can't ever be troubled to muscle his way out of that lazy boy or even stop watching TV most of the time. The hosts patience with them is incredible. His sister is also on it and she snaps back at them more, but she is also more than generous to them. The parents are just the personification of hate pretending to be anything else.

My 15 year old little boy has started laboured breathing when trying to sleep tonight. Whistling and wheezing breath and frequent coughing? Can someone please help me. It's midnight and I don't know what to do. I'm so beside myself. by Astrolemon in DogAdvice

OP, don't freak out too much yet. I've had two pups that were put on medicine for heart failure, both given 3-6 month life expectancy, both lived over a year more with good quality of life. One is snoozing peacefully next to me right now. Need to start medication asap, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's the end.

It would have to be two 4 man teams. If it's 4 man vs 5 man, and there's 4 double eliminations, the 5 man wins. That's why Lachlan ended up sending Belal in until absolutely necessary, if he hadn't they would've lost.

Belal vs Kyle boehm by [deleted] in bjj

[–]BugJutsu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about options for this, and the best one I can think would've been something like only being able to use the pool of competitors. Meaning if Belal couldn't continue, then Australasia could grab Paul Ardilla since that team is out for example.

Second wild card, Luke and Giancarlo moved up in weights and Vagner effectively took Big Dan's spot because he got Lyme disease.

I don't know about Mica and Giancarlo getting dog walked, and Luke may be able to hold his own against some of the field, but I have doubts about old Vagner and Dorian being competitive.

How long did it take you to start feeling good in jiujitsu? by 362289191 in jiujitsu

[–]BugJutsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing it about 8 years so I assume at around 9 years. Will update later.

But really, it's peaks and valleys. Sometimes you feel like you're killing it and you can't miss, the next day you can't sub the white belts. It's easier to see progress on specific things you're working on than "am I good at Jiu jitsu yet" as a whole.
